I went here with my mom to get our hair cut. I’m still young so if my hair gets butchered like it was after they cut it I can bounce back, but they absolutely destroyed my moms beautiful long hair despite her telling them to leave the length the way it was. Their process for cutting hair is the worst I’ve seen by far. They didn’t make my hair even on both sides or feather it at all, the bottom wasn’t even close to a straight line and they cut my bangs way too short from the get go. They kept getting mad at us for not wanting them to do what we didn’t want them to do to our hair and angrily snipping at our hair when we said we wanted to keep it long. They were super unprofessional and the finished product looked like a child cut our hair. Actually, I honestly feel like a child probably could’ve done better. My mom had to fix my hair when we got home and she managed to somewhat salvage it. Unfortunately my moms hair was beyond fixing after they destroyed it and I feel so bad about taking her to get our haircut together at this place. Neither of us will ever go here again, and I highly recommend no one else to get their hair cut here unless they want to pay $30 to get their hair butchered.

My son has been getting his hair cut at Tru-Cuts in Monterey every few weeks for several months now. He is consistently getting an amazing haircut every time, thanks to Soe! My son has very thick, curly hair that can be difficult for stylists to cut and style — but it’s never a problem for Soe. She is an amazing stylist; highly recommend!!

I’ve come here a couple times and this is the only place I will get my hair cut from now on. The lady was super sweet, she asked me questions about my hair the entire time making sure I liked each step. She was super attentive to details and my happiness with the cut. I HAVE CURLY HAIR. It is very curly Latina hair, tight defined curls (not African American, not the same texture). This lady has consistently cut my hair exactly how I want it, and finding someone who can cut curly hair the way she cuts mine is very hard. IF YOU HAVE CURLY HAIR I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Worst hair cutting service I have ever been to. Highly unprofessional. They murdered my hair and then proceeded to make excuses for why it’s not their fault. We have been going to Edy for years and does a fantastic job on my husband’s hair and mine (and now our toddler’s too). You can’t beat $23, and it is consistently a better haircut than the ones I’ve gotten for $60+. She is also extraordinarily kind and now owns the business! They have an ATM in the store which makes it easier to pay.

This location was recently renovated and looks good. They are cash or check only but have an ATM in the lobby. All the ladies there do a great job with my relatively simple haircut. The walk in time is usually pretty short but call ahead and make an appointment if you don’t want to sit around waiting. Standard men’s haircut was 19.99 as of January of 2019.
