I’ve got curly, thick hair that can be a beast to cut and style, but Troy does so masterfully. He listens to what I want to achieve with a cut and then offers feedback informed by his years of experience to fine-tune my vision to my hair type, and works so meticulously and efficiently. I’ve gotten a women’s version of “long on top, tight on the sides” for an almost faux hawk look from him for about a year, now, and I still love it. Every time I go out I get compliments on the cut, from a wide range of ages and personalities. My response is always the same: “Go see Troy!” The atmosphere of his salon is relaxed but professional and classic, too, (who doesn’t love jazz played on vinyl?) and he’s quite personable and is always welcoming and engages with my toddler niece, who is with me almost every time I’m there. Very much recommend Troy to anyone looking for a good cut.

I have to agree with the other reviews, my experience at Troy Salon was great! It was my first time getting a cut and color with him and seeing someone new can always be a little nerve-racking, but I loved my hair! The color was perfect and the cut was exactly what I was envisioning. It was also refreshing to be in a salon that was calm and relaxing.
