This place is wonderful! I have been coming here almost a year now and never have had a complaint. Every question I have is always answered well. The woman that work at this tanning salon are just incredible and so friendly! Always a nice greeting when you walk in and when you walk out the door. They do a wonderful job keeping everything clean and sanitized. I very much appreciate the lady’s that work here.

I went in for a spray tan because the woman I usually see did not have any appointments available. The price is now exactly the same as a custom spray tan, which is unfortunate, but oh well. The girl behind the counter was very short with me and rude (she seemed annoyed that I was there). She threw my license, debit card, and a store card onto the counter at me three separate times instead of just handing them to me, which seemed unnecessary, as I was very nice to her. Then, in the spray tan room, the lock was broken and someone walked in on me as I was undressed. I tried to tell the girls working but they ignored me when I made eye contact and continued talking to each other. I could not get out of there fast enough. I will never, ever go back to Tropical Tann.

Critical: ProfessionalismI usually enjoy tanning here because it is one of the only places in the area with semi new equipment. I haven’t had a problem here until today when the facial tanning lights were flashing and flickering during the first minute of my session. I tried to manually turn off the switch in the bed for these lights and turn it back on again. I had no luck so I shut them off to reduce hazard and mentioned it after my session so I could be compensated for the malfunction. Shauna, the woman working today told me that there is a switch for the lights and it was probably off. So I clarified that I had tried to turn it on and off during my session and it did not work and actually scared me because of the flickering and she told me that she would look at It but there was nothing she could do. She told me that I actually should have come out during my tanning session and switched beds. And that I did not have to use my full session if the lights weren’t working. This would have required quickly getting out of the bed while my tanning lotion has just been applied and getting dressed to seek an attendant mid-session before my timer runs out, which in my experience is extremely odd to expect of your customers. But she stated there was no way for her to compensate me and there wouldn’t be an owner there until after the weekend. I was really surprised by the customer service at this point and told her I wasn’t trying to cause a problem, i love coming here but just wasn’t able to tan my face because of the malfunction. She told me there was really nothing she could do. So I asked if she would have an owner call me. She said she would mention it, but nobody would be calling me other than her because she runs both locations and she can’t call an owner, only send an email. She then brought me into the room to show me the lights were working after she turned the switch back on. I’m not sure if this was to insinuate that I didn’t actually have a malfunction in my tanning bed or that she’s refusing to recognize a possible hazard. Either way, very hostile customer service experience and extremely negligent to tanning safety. If your facial lights don’t work in the bed, just quickly throw all your clothes back on over your tan lotion and before your timer runs out, find an attendant and quickly show them the problem. Best place ever! I frequently tan at both locations (Queensbury and SGF) and I have always received the best service, most specifically from Cait. She is so knowledgeable and has helped me numerous times with lotions, and other tanning questions in general, not to mention she is extremely kind and very positive every time I am there. She definitely deserves a raise!

Paid 24 dollars for 1 tan with lotion, couldn’t even finish applying the lotion before the bed automatically started up. Wasn’t a nice bed either. Complete waste of time and money, much better places out there. Don’t go here.

Very disappointed the tanning booths do not get hot you only can go in for 7 minutes for the first time and only goes up to ten minutes the problem with that is the lights are not hot enough to get a tan without going alot before you start to get any color. Will never go back
