Tanning salons are closing left and right in this area. Hopefully Tropical Sunsations will remain open during this tough time for small businesses. Their beds are very high quality. There are many levels of the monthly membership to choose from. If you don’t want to sign up monthly and have payment withdrawn from an account like a gym membership don’t go there. I don’t mind it because you can put your account on freeze and pay a service charge of $5 monthly. I pay 29.99+tax monthly for the Caribbean package which allows you to go in the lower tiered beds. It still is awesome and I pay much less during the summer months compared to other salons. The salon is very clean I will continue to use their services.

OMG I just read the other reviews and I have the same issue. They are scamming people for memberships! I never agreed to recurring payments and they are trying to tell me I owe for a month I never even tanned for. I had to cancel my card bc they refused to cancel my information out of the system. Particularly Dawn, who keeps talking in circles after she put me down for a membership I did not sign for. I asked for proof showing I signed for anything and they cannot provide them because Dawn scammed me! This place is a joke and thieves!

If I could rate this business a -3, I would. This place is such a scam. I called today to get directions on cancelling my membership. Not only do I need to send a certified letter to Latrobe, but the lady also told me they will charge me until February (even though I’ll be cancelling in December). I should have listened when my friends told me not to go here. The beds were great, but it’s like you are entering a lifetime commitment to this company that is honestly overpriced for what you get. I originally signed up for the $39.99 membership and for someone reason I get charged $44 every month. Do not go here.

Great beds, however don’t sign your life away with a monthly package…. ever getting out of it will cost you your first born child. I moved away, was gone 8 months, and they charged my card and the OWNER refused a refund, never returned my calls…. I can promise you if I get again charged this month, for a third time, they will get more then a nasty review. I’m sorry your business sucks so bad you have to steal money from single moms who are struggling to make ends meet.

I went there for a month. And have never felt so awkward at a place of business in my whole life. I was confronted by an employees boyfriend for hitting on her lol. Which literally couldn’t be further from the truth. And theres drug use on the property by said employee. And after my month was up i cancelled my contract and they charged me for services i never received 2 months later. Absolute joke and what a bizarre place. Its like a haunted house between how dark they keep it and the strung out employees resembling zombies. Couldnt pay me for ever step foot in that place again.

Heard things abt.the staff.can’t confirm any of it.what I can say is that in ONE week I got as dark as I did in two months at the other places I tried in gbg.bulbs are the strongest, the place was pretty clean …my bed Monty Carlo..awesome

Customer service is horrible. Managers are rude and unprofessional. My mother got severe burns from here due to the tanning bed never shutting off and her falling asleep in it.
