So, I got my nails done twice here. The first time, I wanted clear to black ombre nails- I’m aware this is dark and kinda weird but that’s what I wanted. Instead Eric did pink and a pretty nifty shade of gray. Initially I was pleased with this, but after 3 days my nails were lifting. I paid a pretty high price for these, significantly more than I would have even in Denver so… I was hoping for better quality. When I came in for the fill I showed him where nails were lifting and he ended up giving me a whole new set, which I specifically requested clear acrylic- I don’t really like the colored acrylic. We did that and then gel polish and a little moon accent. Came out great… then 3 days later my nails were lifting again. I had to take them off. I paid too much for nails that just wouldn’t stay on. I had my nails done for years in Denver and never had this problem, went for a little while to let my nails recover and now I just have been left with a bad experience. I tried, and being raised with a mom who did nails, I know the routine. I’m pretty forgiving and give chances but I paid way too much for nails that lifted way too early.

My nails look very nice and the price is good for a dip powder. Doesn’t come across like an over friendly staff or that they care to much if they have business or not. I asked for dip and for a pedicure for a wedding I was going to be in and they said they only had time for one or the other, which didn’t seem logical but I guess because I just wanted them painted and nothing else, it wasn’t worth their time or my money. Also, the shop was not busy so, no clue what the reasoning there was but not like I wanted to ask. I felt like I was just in the wrong the whole time I was getting my nails done. Between the powder I chose, the personal questions I was asked and the fact that my thumbs wouldn’t stay straight for the dip.. I was not treated personablely nor kindly, but more less like I was a bother for even being there. I also don’t enjoy the smell of smoke on someone I have to sit closely with, I don’t care that you smoke but the smell can be unprofessional.

Moved here from Colorado and hands down the best nail salon I’ve ever gone to, eric took the time to figure out exactly what I wanted and went over and beyond the look I wanted, prices were great for the quality of their work and the time they put into. You can tell he loves what hes doing and my nails look amazing because of it. Will definitely make this my go to salon from here on out.

I have been getting my nails done for at least 20 years, I lost track of where the owners of tropical nails had gone so when I learned where they were I was elated!! I had a fill and a pedicure for a wedding I was attending people were asking me where I had gotten them done the whole weekend!! They are beautiful!! These two really care about the work they do and it shows!! They are also kind and work very hard THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT JOB!!

This has to be one of the most unprofessional businesses that I have ever been to. I do not live in town and thought since I was visiting for a few days I would stop in to have my nails done and enjoy some down time. As soon as I sat down, Eric immediately turned on his laptop and also his cell phone. He was extremely distracted. Come to find out, he was trading stocks while he was performing a “paid” service that I was paying him for. He was very rough and did not engage in doing my nails at all. He even made a comment that he would have made more money trading stocks if it wasn’t for having to do my nails. He made me feel unimportant and did not do a good job at all. My nails are uneven, rough around the edges and the polish is uneven and not colored correctly. I would think having a business in a small town that the owners would go out of their way to perform a service to grow clients. I will not be going back and would not recommend this business to anyone. The only reason I gave them one star is because you cant post if you don’t click on at least one star. To clarify, I would give them a zero star if I could.
