This was- by far!!! The best haircut and color I have ever received. I have been highlighting my hair for 24 years and this was the first salon that ever really understood what I wanted and executed it perfectly. Lisa-she knew exactly what was best for my hair and did it and I could not be happier. She cut my hair appropriately for the type of hair I have (long thick and wavy) and did balaylights which I never had but also never knew I needed. It was exactly what I wanted but never knew how to quite explain. No brass whatsoever and natural looking highlights that will grow with me. Could not be happier and will return to Lisa again and again. Salon was beautiful, clean and everyone was friendly. This is not a drive by kind of place as it’s kind of off the regular route-I have lived here a while and never passed the store front but it was worth the googling to find this hidden gem.

Positive: Cleanliness, QualityI used Tropez salon for my wedding this past summer! There weren’t a lot of photos/reviews online on bridal services so I figured I would add one. I mostly picked my salon based on style match/vibes as I knew there were a ton of good options in Wilmington and I really didn’t think I could go wrong.Pros:Lisa (makeup artist) was absolutely the best part of my entire experience. My makeup was flawless, my bridesmaids all raved after initially being hesitant on if they even wanted to get their makeup done. They all wanted to know what makeup she used! My makeup did NOT budge, it lasted through the night and even brunch the next morning (gotta do what you gotta do)!Sammy (front desk) was so so so helpful on every detail and coordination from when I initially booked them (11 months in advance), my trial runs 9 months early (destination wedding) all the way to the day of/post event. She was so sweet and was just on top of everything it was a breeze.Cons:The girls were running a little behind morning of so it did start a little behind (maybe 10-15 min?) usually wouldn’t think it was a big deal but they also decided to push back our start time by 1 hour thinking we wouldn’t need as much time. My girls day of ended up being more needy than anticipated (them, not me!) which caused the time change rushed us a little bit in the endMy hair (the bride) was a Hollywood style curl and was done last. It was different than what I did during my trial but it was all communicated before hand that I changed my style. My hair is naturally wavy and has no issue holding a curl. It was absolutely beautiful once it was finished but my curls did not even last to me walking down the aisle.I understand humanity/hair type/wind etc. but I would have expected to at least get through my pre-ceremony/ceremony photos with some curls in place still. Lisa is an absolute artist!! I got the best haircut of my life!! The style of haircutting they do is so flattering on straight and wavy hair — it adds volume and texture unlike any other type of style. The salon is beautiful and has perfect, luxurious Wilmington vibes. I live kind of far away but will drive back in a few months just to have Lisa do my hair again!!

I am seriously not joking… the way my hair looks and feels after Journee did her magic- I have NEVER in my 50 years of life LOVED my hair more! She even made the color AND roots PERFECT! The salon is luxurious and very tastefully decorated. The wash-bowl chairs gently massage you while you get the most amazing hair wash & scalp massage! Something else I noticed that is hard to find is that everyone working there seems to be very happy to be there and enjoys what they do.

Tropez Salon is my absolute favorite. The client experience is amazing and the salon itself is gorgeous! They are always super welcoming and make you feel right at home. I’ve been slowly going blonde over the last year with Journee. My favorite thing about the experience is how dedicated, knowledgeable, and caring Journee is. She always makes sure my hair looks its absolute best and never pushes it further than it is ready to go. The result has been healthy hair and beautiful lived in color. Journee is amazing and professional as are all her other stylists.
