I thought I would try this place because it is close to my place of residence but I will NEVER return and I will advise everyone to stay away. THIS PLACE IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST!! They do not need to be in business. I was all for supporting black businesses and entrepreneurs, but not these “guys who cut hair”. They should not even be able to claim the title or barber. Disgusting language and their sense of professionalism is just as foul. I feel like this place should be called “Fresh Out” because all of these guys seem to be fresh out of jail. $25 for their hair cuts are a rip off! They should be only charging $5 for the quality that they give. I went to get a cut and the guy messed my hairline up so bad, and he would not give me my money back for a terrible job. Not only that, when I told him I wanted a mid-fade, he had no clue what style that was and I had to give him detailed explanation. THe clippers were hot and they were so rough with the cut, scratches and scabs appeared after leaving the shop. The absolute worst! I would strongly advise anyone considering this place, to keep looking. I would recommend Ace of Fades Barbershop in Newark DE by UD. The ride can be a bit longer, but compared to this place, it is well worth the 30 minute drive. This place only gets 1 star because that is the only way to leave a review. They deserve no stars, let alone any more of my or your money.

It is a shame that this barber shop even exists. Definitely not a family friendly establishment. If you have kids, I would advise that you find somewhere else to get their hair cut. So much profanity and horrible examples of Black manhood.

I had took my kids there to get a cut my youngest son wasn’t pleased with his but my oldest son was so I sent my oldest son with the money and a tip for his barber. I gave my youngest son the option to tip or not he chose not too so i just sent him with the regular payment. When my kids came back to the car they said the fat, overweight one who is one step from coronary artery disease and one large fry away form a heart attack who already got diabetes and is in desperate need for the weight loss surgery whose chair is at the front on ya left hand side when you walk in had to the nerve to question my son and then be offended. My son is 12 btw. When i went in there and questioned him about the situation he went on to tell me how he should tip anyway. A child!! So after i informed him on the bases of tipping and how this aint law i gladly told him we will NO longer be returning to this barbershop in life!! It was already stuff going on in there that i didn’t appreciate but i was still trying to support this establishment however those days are done!! DO NOT TAKE YA CHILDREN HERE OR GET YOUR HAIRCUT HERE UNLESS YOU WANT LAZY BARBERS HASSLING YOU ABOUT A TIP FOR A HALF BEHIND JOB!! #lessonlearned.

This is the worst barber shop that I’ve ever been to! If you have children, DO NOT take them to this barber shop. Every time I went to Tri-State Clipper with my children, they were exposed to an atmosphere of foul language, inappropriate DVD movies, gambling, and terrible examples of African American male leadership and role models. One of the barbers was so rough when cutting my Son’s hair, that he cried. I will never return to this barbershop. And, I advise anyone seeking a good barbershop in Wilmington, DE for themselves, and especially for their children, to steer clear of Tri-State Clipper.

I was supposed to get my haircut by one of the barbers his name is BREE and I called and I told him that i was on my way when I got there he was nowhere to be found so I called him again then A half hour want by so I left but what didn’t know is I am a casting director for Lee Daniels and we were looking for a barber who does nice cuts so I was going to get my haircut by Him to see if we wanted to move forward with giving im a position on Empire cutting celebrities hair but because he was so unprofessional and very Late i just have to move on with another candidate an it sucks because i sent my brother there as a little spy to see how he worked with others and to see if his hair cut was nice and my brother gave us good feedback and the haircut was good but I think might have My eye On someone else in the shop But the moral of the story is you never know who’s watching so always represent yourself and a nice and Orderly fashion peace out
