Bought a Groupon that expired. While it’s clear that the promotional value is no longer accepted, the original value never expires. It’s very straightforward on both the Groupon certificate and in the fine print. Valerie Bois refused to accept the gift certificate’s original value and said purchases from a 3rd party are null and void. Val is unprofessional. She serves to be unavailable for appointments especially for Groupon customers as she looks to bleed addition money for expired vouchers. During hours of operation, this nearly sparse and cheaply decorated “clinic” with its stained floor mats, remains dark as no one is there to greet you nor available to pick up the phone. Booking appointments online is next to impossible via cell and too lengthy. Most available appointments are inconvenient and not in keeping with a working person’s hours. Weekends are unavailable for 2017 as none on their site are listed and because they are only open to 2pm on Fri and Sat (closed Sun). Phone messages go unanswered, no matter if you have left MANY. Coming early for my appointment, the place was dark, empty and was locked — very creepy. Someone popped out from the darkness a few minutes before my actual appointment. Once inside, I was hoping to make an appointment for another Groupon person, but the reception person/ massage therapist did not have access to the appointment book. There was never one available. Incredible! Having had a massage there, the credentials of the person performing the service (not Val) was not hung. The massage took place in a tiny room decorated with toddler art that was only big enough for a small end table, massage table and cheap chair. Music is played through a tinny drug store quality bluetooth cellphone speaker. Don’t get into the service industry if you do not intend to be available to book appointments. Val, it is probably a brilliant intentional stream of income to do so, but keep my money from the unused voucher paid up front as your unavailability makes it impossible to use. From your business’s presentation to the way in which you operate, I am uncomfortable subjecting my nerves further to your idea of relaxation. Do not pay for services upfront. Go to a more professional operation that actually smells clean, where staff is available and hours of operation are adhered to: Message Envy in Oceanside is better than the weak deep tissue received from Tres Holistic.
