I was pleasantly surprised to find a stylist certified in such a small town. Unfortunately at the start of my appointment I realized Hannah Young was not. I had to teach her how to cut my hair, what products to use. Even though Hannah Young specifically asked me what products I needed for my hair and said she’d get them. As a curly hair specialist she should know the type of products needed to style my hair. Hannah ended up styling my hair with product that are filled with fragrance, alcohols that are not safe for curls. As a certified curl stylist this is common knowledge. Hannah young botched my hair cut and the color. She told me if I didn’t like the color after a few washes when it fades she would fix it. Well that was a lie because she’s not helping me at all with this situation. She told me to find a different stylist since I’m not happy with the results, well I’m not happy because it’s not what I asked for. I was kind and professional and paid her regardless of her mistake. Unfortunately it’s a loss. All of her clients cancelled on her this same day I was her only customer so I see why she won’t refund even partial payment. Hannah Young claims and promotes she’s curly hair certified which is very rare to find in the Midwest. I was pleasantly surprised to find a stylist certified in such a small town. Unfortunately at the start of my appointment I realized Hannah Young was not. I had to teach her how to cut my hair, what products to use.
