The outside of this place is deceiving. The inside is beautiful and clean. I needed to remove gel polish of my nails and get a plain manicure with a clear coat. My nails were weak after having gel polish done twice. I was told the manicure would be $15. I felt the manicurist was rushing and not doing a good job. After everything was done and a poorly applied clear coat, the man told me $20. I still tipped him $5. Figured lesson learned. My main objective was to get the gel off and it was done. I don’t plan to go back there again because the service was poor quality and the fee changed after the work was done.

Took two of my young daughters as a special Christmas gift. Paid the extra $ for the “gel” polish which is supposed to stay on longer. One day later gave them a bath, the polish was gone! I called to ask for a gift card to have her come back at a later time, they refused and said they couldn’t even give me an appointment! Asked me to return with her and we would have to wait for an opening to have it fixed. She’s 5, and was extremely disappointed. My total bill including tips for two mani and pedis for two girls ages 4 and 5 was $180

Soo i couldnt be more pleased with this place you might pay alittle more then other places BUT DEFF WORTH IT. I’m really ruff on my hands, im cleaning in water an banging them around they were always falling off. I was going to other places in the Area an just wasting money. I always lost 1 or 2 nails or broke them in a week. NOPE” not here they last 3-4weeks without coming off no issues at all. Highly recommend this place!! Love not wasting 50-60$ every 2weeks or so and being able to still have nice nails when im ready to fill

I was hesitant about coming to this salon based on their ratings in comparison to other salons in the area. I now understand why it is what it is. Don’t waste your time. I made an appointment and specifically told them I could not wait due to the weather and having a long drive out of town. She said she understood and they could get me in at 1215. I got there on time and they didn’t even begin to take me until 1240. I asked if they could do a specific nail when I walked in and was told it wouldn’t be exact, but they could do it. I sit down and suddenly they can’t do it. Fine. I then asked for a simple ombre with glitter, and she was going back and forth with another tech before saying again she could do it, but it wouldn’t be exact. Okay, fine, let’s try it, then stops to tell me it will be 55 for the fill and another 20 for the gel. Why? My fills are 35. I walked out. Already felt my time was wasted and wasn’t going to pay extra when they weren’t even confident in their ability to do what I wanted. Go to new style salon up the road. They will get you in at your appointment time and actually know what they are doing.

I loved that they’re so accommodating. I bring my patient with me sometimes to get his feet done and Mariea and Janice make sure we both are well taken care of with the utmost care and respect.

I walked for a pedicure in without an appointment. I was told that was fine. After a fairly short time in the waiting area, I was led to a pedi chair and told to start soaking my feet. I was left with my feet soaking for almost an hour. I should have been told how long the wait would be. After the pedicure was done, I was sent back to the waiting area for my nails to dry. The manicurist presented me with a bill ($30) and told me that if I wanted to pay by credit card it was $4 extra. I handed him two twenties. After waiting about 20 minutes for my nails to dry, nobody had offered me any change. I went to the desk and asked for my change. They handed me a ten. I asked them to break the $10 so I could tip the manicurist. They acted like this was a big imposition and made me wait while they counted cash in the register. When they finally gave me change, it was 2 fives. I would have tipped $6 (20%), but at that point I had had enough waiting and wasn’t going to ask for singles. I hadn’t had a pedi in the Kingston area before, and wonder if this experience is typical.

Some of the workers are nice and some need attitude adjustments . The price isn’t worth what you’re paying for. I can get a cheaper pedicure near Times Square than at tranquility. My $30 pedicure also chipped within hours

I brought my own polish and top coat. I just purchased it same day. The nail tech dropped and both broke. He then came over with a color palate and I said just forget it no polish. They wanted to charge me 25 $$$AND THEY BROKE MY POLISH 11.98 AND TOP COAT 7 . I Said I lost all my polish then still charged me 15 $ for nothing. Worst customer service ever. !! They should have charged me nothing especially after I had to wait 15 minutes in the water .

Made appointments for a pedicure for myself and two manicures for my sister and friend. After waiting 51 minutes in the pedicure tub someone finally approached me and said sorry for the wait, that everyone came at the same time. If x amount of appointments were made, why were so many walk ins welcomed. Made no sense. Time to pay, I was told i would be charged $4 extra to use my card. Ridiculous. I asked them if they were turning on the dryer for my toes and they told me they don’t run the dryer because it cost money. Everything out of these peoples mouth was an excuse. When I left and looked down at my toes, they missed the entire top part of my nail. My sister never even got her manicure after an hour and half wait. Nor did they even say anything to her. They have a 13 year old girl running the front. Not sure how thats even legal. Terrible experience. Will not return. Also wish I checked the reviews before coming.

ZERO STARS. I have never received such poor service. The manicure was awful, but the way they went about fixing the issue was far worse. I went in for ANC and chose a light pink color. I was then left to wait for a while before someone began to do my nails. Once the “manicure” began he grabbed my hands with dirty sticky gloves. He then just started to do my nails; there was poor and minimal shaping, no pushing back of my cuticles back, no clipping away of dead skin, no massage, no lotion, he didn’t even ask me to wash my hands after shards of plastic and powder began to crust onto my hands. He charged me before he had finished, good thing he did, I would have walked out once I saw the final product. When I looked at my nails the natural nail color was showing through and it looked like a child had painted them. I said something to a lady at the counter and she insisted it was my own fault for picking a color that was too light and I “should have known better.” I was shocked and then she charged me to “fix” the disaster in the first place. When I pointed out that my cuticles were never trimmed I was told that “they don’t do that with ANC.” I was furious. I will never go back and I truly hope they go out of business because they certainly don’t deserve to operate one.
