I followed the owner Bobbie from another salon almost 20 years ago. She opened New Town Nails and I was happy for her and her service was amazing!! She remained owner, but opened another salon elsewhere. Bobbie positioned Julie as the Manager to oversee the staff and a new hire Gina to take over her clients. I was skeptical, but gave Gina a chance because of Bobbie as we all deserve a chance. Julie was Amazing! She was polite professional and customer service friendly. Gina did a great job so I was sold. Fast forward when businesses opened on 2020-2021 after the quarantine I was ready for a spa treatment. I was sad to know Julie retired, but wish her well. Gina was positioned to be Manager. I was happy for her only to realize she changed. Her managerial skills are sub-par. She definitely needs training. I don’t appreciate being tricked making an appointment with her only to sit in the chair for my pedi and have her sister in place. I questioned it and Gina said because I was late. I was not late! Gina and I showed up at the same time and she even offered to buy me coffee. I politely put her in her place and decided to give her sister a chance only to reach home and one of my toes, the Polish completely came off!! I called and Gina told me I could come back to fix it. It was not economical to drive 16 miles, so I fixed it myself. I gave her sister a $12. tip!! Faster forward, I made another appt. which was definitely the last because when I made the appt. Gina stated “don’t be late”. I had to put her in her place again! She is the Manager who forgot where she came from! Bobbie and Julie never treated customers that way. I reminded her she was also late then and I am a customer, not her employee. I also reminded her how well I’ve treated her over the years, sent referrals and how well I tipped her. She needed to be reminded. She had the nerve to state “it’s not about the tip”. Funny, she did not refuse, but gladly accepted and stuffed the money in her pocket!! That was such a dummy response and validated her ignorance and level of intelligence. I have not been back since. That place is no longer classy.

The best nail salon around. I ask for very unusual and multicolored layered manicures, and the staff offers their artistic suggestions and do the most amazing, long lasting beautiful work.

I love this place. Staff were very kind, price was really cheap and the performance was perfect. Also, the service was really fast. There are a lot of color options you can choose. I want to bring this shop to my hometown because putting in manicure in my hometown is way too expensive

Went here on a Monday a little after 5p and there was a short wait since the place is small and they only had two people working. The 10 minute wait time they quoted was spot on and Julie, the lady who did my manicure and pedicure, was wonderful. She paid great attention to detail and was very respectful and kind throughout the process. All in all I felt the price was very appropriate for the quality of service. $27 mani/pedi from Monday through Wednesday. I think it’s $30 on other days… but don’t quote me. I’ll be back here for sure.

The service was really polite when I was there in July , but what they did is insane … they’ve taken my gel nails with a metro card! A METRO CARD! It’s not even about pain I felt but about being unproffesional.
