Upon first entering I was greeted by one of the stylists who was sitting with the owner, who I recognized from their social media. I said hello to her, but all she did was look at me then look away, which I found odd. Most salon owners are welcoming and introduce themselves with pride. She was sitting in a chair not busy or anything and it just gave me an uncomfortable feeling. Then I went to have my hair washed and they used Rusk . They didn’t have any products that catered to different hair types. I was then brought over for my cut where more Rusk product was applied to my hair, and I noticed how dirty the place actually was. There was a coating of dust and clumps of hair in the corners of the salon. When the cut was over the stylist opened the vanity drawer to get a brush and dry my hair and all the brushes were covered in hair. I’ve never been to a salon that didn’t clean their brushes!! I didn’t even know what to say, I just hoped maybe the Rusk would kill any germs transferred to my hair. Finally to pay- they only take cash or venmo which is crazy to me. When I called for my appt I told them it would be my first time there and feel they should have mentioned that so I could come prepared- I left my phone in the car so was able to grab it but that was just a moldy cherry on top of a dirty sundae. This was the first time I ever had my hair done and went home to wash it out, it felt like a waste of money and the place is on the cheaper side so that says a lot. I will gladly pay $10 more for a cut somewhere else that’s clean, friendly, and accommodating.

These ladies are so friendly and it’s just a great atmosphere. I went to see Mary and she did exactly what I wanted and it came out better than I could have thought. I will definitely keep going back!

Critical: Professionalism, QualityI went to this salon for a trim not a change in my hairstyle. I live local and due to a disability can’t always get to my regular stylist. I had trims a couple times there by a different stylist who did a fair job .But this past time a couple weeks ago I wish I had just walked out , When I arrived the stylist was not wearing a mask , she said she was vaccinated and had some type of immunosuppressive problem. She said mask optional. Apparently not concerned about Delta .Anyway I realize the stylist can’t stand to cut your hair so sits on a stool and turns your chair facing her . I couldn’t watch my hair being so called trimmed . I have curly hair so when cut incorrectly it just puffs out or as with bangs the curl up so can be too short. When I got home and looked in the mirror I realized how bad the cut / trim really was . I had and old fashioned pageboy style bangs cut straight and short, the sides square ,short and already puffed out. I didn’t bother call this business to complain because I didn’t want them to try to repair my hair. Now I have to wait for bangs to grow a little and go back to MiltonService: HaircutI went to this salon for a trim not a change in my hairstyle. It’s probably the best haircut I’ve gotten since I’ve moved to upstate New York. And I moved here at least six years ago.

Had a great experience. My hairdresser listened to what I asked for, studied the pictures I provided, and cut my hair beautifully! The entire store felt clean and professional and their prices were extremely reasonable. It was adorable to see all the regulars come in and out and how nicely everyone was treated. I will be going back!
