Critical: Professionalism, QualityI have never had a worse experience than this one, both during and post appointment. I went in to get my make up done with Journi and asked for a natural make up look with light accents to highlight my face. I came in prepared with images knowing I had limited amount of time. I wish I had taken a picture of how awful my face looked afterwards. I am a very pale person and foundation that was orange dark was piled onto my face with an even darker powder finish. I felt oily, orange and like the foundation had been caked onto my face. I had to wipe off all the make up and rush to my wedding and ended up applying make up myself. Everyone who saw me and heard of the experience told me to call and ask for a refund. When I called the people were really nice about it and said I could leave a message for the owner and she would get back to me. Never heard anything 24 hours afterwards. I called again and the owner picked up also very nice and understanding. But did not offer refund or even partial refund but did say she would talk with her crew. She mentioned I rushed the artist because I had arrived 5-10 mintues late. But again I just asked for a simplistic professional make up and never asked the make up artist to rush during the process until the very end. Since I did not receive a refund I figured I would leave a review so no one else has a similar experience on their special day! Not something I was hoping to be part of my memory. Positive: Professionalism, QualityI had my eyebrows done with permanent makeup 10 months ago, and just received a compliment from someone who was threading my brows. She said this was the best eyebrow tattoo she has ever seen, and she sees a lot of eyebrows!
