I can only speak as a male who had my dreads done recently. She was pretty fast at doing them and if you wash them beforehand she charges less. I spent 60 dollars all together and was satisfied. I would just suggest that you call first and make an appointment first. DO NOT JUST SHOW UP or you might be left waiting for a couple hrs until someone gets there

I was there at 12 for crocheted braids. I had my own hair and didn’t get out of there until 6. I was only patient because I wanted my hair done right. Wish there was a place that had more consistency and professionalism. Oh I also notice that it states 9:30 is when this place opens. Sorry but that’s not true, its whenever the owner decides.

I’ve been going to Zena’S shop before it was at this hazel street location. She’s been micro braiding my and my teen daughters hair for the past seven years. Yes it takes long due to the micro braids. I’ve never had a bad experience with them. Call a day or two before you go to make an appointment. They don’t have enough staff for all walk-ins. They ask do dreadlocks and weaves and they take a lot of time as well. I call two days before and get a time as early as possible and never on a Thursday or Friday the busiest days of the week. Make your appointment on a Monday or Tuesday morning.

I got individuals done 2 weeks ago for $155 and the front was close, nice and neat and the middle and back braids all were huge. I mean they were big braids not only that they all was shorter then the braids in the front. Overall it was a hot mess and I will never go back again. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL.
