I found Mauricio in 2021. The world was slowly coming out of the 2019 Covid pandemic. During this time, I began to grow out my natural hair and was applying boxed hair dye. Mauricio literally breathed new life into my hair. He taught me some great tips to care for my hair in between visits. He pours love, light, and energy into styling. Truly a magical experience. Mauricio did a beautiful job on my hair that was in horrible shape. (I thought I would just “fix it” myself and did a little trim. Yeah, smart, I know but he made it look fantastic. I couldn’t be happier. Also, I have a short haircut so I was nervous that in order to fix the mess I made it would end up being much shorter than I wanted but nope, he knew exactly what to do and I still have the length I love.

I’ve known Mauricio over 26 years + when he started at You & I in Elizabeth. I’ve been coming to him for years ever since. Now that I moved to NC I still come to Totally You Salon in Rahway because he is best of the best in what he does. I don’t have to say much he does his magic flawlessly he picks the right color out for me and he is an excellent hair stylist. Positive: QualityWOW! Simply amazing! I can’t not speak highly enough about this salon. Mauricio is an artist and has been cutting, highlighting and styling my hair since college. His haircuts were literally such a game changer for me. They had such a positive impact on my appearance and how I feel abt myself! Just last week I was able to bring my five year old and her hair cut is incredible. I can’t recommend this salon enough. You have to go see for yourself! WOW! Simply amazing! I can’t not speak highly enough about this salon. Mauricio is an artist and has been cutting, highlighting and styling my hair since college. His haircuts were literally such a game changer for me. They had such a positive impact on my appearance and how I feel abt myself! I moved to NJ about 2 years ago, and I was super lucky to find Mauricio and “Totally You Beauty Salon” right away. I have been going to him ever since. I am very particular about my hairdo and I don’t trust just anyone. Mauricio has shown over and over and over again what an adroit and brilliant stylist he is. He works the scissor and comb on your hair like a paint brush on a canvas. I have introduced him to many of my girlfriends as well, and they all could not be more happy with the results. One of them drives a little more than an hour to go to his salon. On top of his excellent skills, I have to mention that him and his entire staff are all great, friendly, nice, professional people. They all make you feel at home and provide you with the best service you can think of. I cannot recommend Mauricio and His salon more!!! If you go there once, you would become his regular client, NO DOUBT! 5 stars!!!!

I was looking for a stylist that can just look at me and tell me what looks good on me. And I think I finally found him. Mauricio knows his stuff. But just looking at me he knew what he’d like to do and what would look great on me. I made an appt. For 2 days later. I just had a great feeling from the minute I met him. He not only did an amazing job, he exceeded my expectations. I love my hair. He also gave me great advice on how and what to use on my curly hair and keep it healthy. He even said to come in another day so he can show me how to use the product. He was easy to talk to, very professional, up to COVID protocolsI and his place was very clean. I would definitely recommend Mauricio to everyone. He knows what he’s doing. Thank you again. I will be definitely coming back.
