This experience was definitely frustrating for me. I initially was seen by someone learning to be a nail technician for a gel manicure. What is supposed to take 1 hour took *3* hours. What was difficult about it too was that my nails turned out rough – one nail has multiple bumps, the tips did not have polish, there is some leftover of the previous color I had, and they are not filed the best. One nail was already chipping on day 2. I paid about 60 dollars for this. I called the next day and asked for it to be redone by someone already trained, and they were very kind about it. However, I was informed that if I wanted to change color I would have to pay 15 dollars, which I consented to. However, during the second visit, the nail technician asked if I wanted to choose a new base primer that would make my nails last longer, but it would be slightly more expensive. I thought – sure, I can pay 20 dollars or a little more. Then at the end of the procedure – my bill somehow went up to *90!* dollars – then with tip it was about 110 dollars! This second visit was supposed to be free! I even clarified and asked that my bill jumped from 15 dollars to 90 dollars because of one primer? And the receptionist said yes. So I paid *200 dollars!* for sitting there for 4 hours in total for 1 normal manicure. I would not recommend.

I have been going to topcoat off and on for quite some time and am usually very satisfied with the service. My nails needed a break from gel, so I decided to go with regular polish. It chipped heavily in less than 24 hours and it took speaking to a manager to even get them to redo that because they said there’s no guarantee with regular polish. School Solutions
The hot stone pedicure is an apres-ski must do! The “dry” pedicure included moisture massage, salt scrub, foot mask and at least 3 hot towel wraps in between. Not to mention the zero gravity chair had me dozing off, pure bliss! My mail artist, Zeret, even completed my gel polish BEFORE rubbing my feet w/ all the oily stuff so the polish would stick. The staff was friendly & professional and my daughter loved her mail art & manicure too. Next time we are in Salt Lake City, we’ll be back. If you are there to ski, or just want a relaxing experience from professionals that value pampering you, reserve a service @ Topcoat Nail Bar.

Topcoat Nail Bar is a terrific place to get your nails done and have a great time. I received a manicure and pedicure and both were spectacular. The personnel is professional, attentive to detail, careful and FUN! They do not rush you; they want to make sure you receive top services in an atmosphere that is both friendly and respectful. Hunter and Claritza were amazing!! Conversation was so good and they made sure to give us exactly what we wanted. We chose Topcoat because we have very specific taste and they carried out our requests perfectly. You are 100% getting every penny you’re paying at a salon like this.
