Top Notch braiders always do a fantastic job braiding. The only downside is no matter how early I make an appointment, there has always been a wait for someone to arrive to braid my hair. It’s never been bad enough to deter me from returning but it would be nice to arrive to my appointment and be in the chair in 30 minutes or less. My experience has always been good overall.

Critical: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueAttached, you’ll see the number of twists that have fallen out of my head and it’s been exactly seven days since I had spring twists done from this shop. Mind you, FALLEN OUT. Not pulled out. This many twists have already fallen off in one week. I cannot vouch for all the braiders in this shop, but whoever did mine is a disgrace. Not only did my appointment start 45 minutes late, but the projected time to finish was 4 hours and instead, mine took 6 hours. She did not braid the twists into my hair tightly. She was slow and sloppy. I now have to find someone else to fix my hair after dropping $180 on someone who clearly did not know what she was doing. I was quoted $220 I got there 8:30 the Braider said anybody can do your hair. Miriam quoted and told me to get individuals because my hair is short and the micro hair slides. She said they would look like micros just with a different hair. The second Braider clearly didn’t like that Miriam quoted me 220 she called and in their language had a conversation . Then says Miriam said they will braid to pass half then have curl the ends. I told her you don’t have to curl the ends you can dip in hot water for a straight look . She said if we braid til the end it will be $250. So they finished my hair the braids are neat but a little thick to me. My hair is not braided to the end as she said but still charged $250 . I wear braids a lot and have been here before several times. I don’t like to feel that I was taken advantage of and for that reason I will not return for services at this shop

I haven’t had my hair braided in about 17 years and I ran across this shop through google. Read the reviews and said why not! Glad I did they were very welcoming. The owner started on my head and her sister Mary finished I was in there all of 41/2 hours. Not to mention I’m growing my hair out from a short cut and baby she gripped them sides now I’m not gonna act like my head ain’t sore cause baby ♀️ But, i will be back. Nice atmosphere no complaints and I’m all about customer service.

Yesterday was my first time getting my hair braided at Top Notch and I was VERY impressed. They are very professional and understand the concept of putting the clients needs first. I called to book an appointment after two failed attempts with other salons and they were more than happy to take my appt. It was a little further out than where I live but it was definitely worth the drive. They did an amazing job on my hair. They are very efficient and precise. Two people worked on the heads for those who were getting singles to cut down on time, which I love. They are also versatile. They braid every texture of hair, not just African/ African American. The fact they they are kind, humble and funny also goes along way. These ladies are definitely on their game. I would recommend them any day of the week. Thank you!!
