I think this place is overrated. I had my hair straightened in Feburary. I wouldn’t say it was bad because I had a good time chatting with the stylist who did my hair. But he wasn’t super careful in drying my hair and I got burnt twice when the hot hair dryer stayed at the same spot on my head for too long. I told him it was hot but he did it again anyway. And he told me he has been in this business for 10+ years.

This is my worst experience in restaurants, salons or any kind of stores in Champaign, their attitudes deserve 0 stars. I was planning to do hair cut but decide not to do that after talking with the hairstylist. I was ready to pay for the service fee because the hairstylist did dry my hair for around 5-7 mins, which is the only thing he did. The lady asked me to pay $19 and when I was trying to ask her why it is so expensive, she just kept arguing that it is the price they provided on board, but it is not. As they said, hair washing + hair styling combo costs $19. And the lady insisted that this price is set by U.S law, which is ridiculous. She even tried to frightened me that she is going to call the police. I would be happier if she can do that. I don’t care about the money, if they can provide reasonable explanation I would pay that in a second without even one word. But they did not, they kept frightening me and ignoring everything we are trying to discuss. In a word, this salon refuses to fairly provide service, the only thing they are digging into is how to gain as much as possible money from each single customer. I would never ever come to this salon again and I also strongly recommend my friends not to come as well. They destroyed their reputation by their own hands.

Never ever perm here. Worst experience. It took me 2.5 hours and 80 bucks. But it didn’t even last for 3 days. Now my hair looks no difference. Avoid this salon.

Tina blatantly did not listen to what I asked her to do, and when cutting hair short she cuts it incredibly unevenly. Not exaggerating when I say this was the worst haircut of my life. Not to mention, the place is disgusting, with hair absolutely everywhere like it’s never cleaned.
