LADIES if you are thinking about going here to get a haircut any more complicated than a trim, then take your business elsewhere. It might have been my mistake to try and get layers and face framing curtain bangs here vs at a professional salon, but was it so wrong of me to think that the stylists here should know how to do that cut? When I called to make my appointment, I even asked if they were capable of doing this cut, giving them the opportunity to say they weren’t comfortable doing it based on their skill level. I wish they would’ve admitted that before they ruined my hair.

I really liked the way Pola cut my hair. I asked for layers and curtain bangs and to keep my length. I also told her my hair was naturally curly. She was able to nice layers to add dimension and volume into my hair but she stayed aware of the fact that when my hair is natural that it would shrink. So she ended up leaving my hair longer which I appreciated.

I love this place. I’ve never had a bad cut or experience here. But most importantly (to me, and probably most of you) they are QUICK to get you in and out. It never takes more than 30 minutes to get my hair cut exactly how I want it. For the quickest turn around, your best bet is calling ahead and setting an appointment, although they do accept walk-ins. But you might have to wait for a bit if you walk in, as they are really popular!

I wouldn’t say this place is always bad, but I’ve just had a pretty bad experience. The hair cutter clearly did not understand my English entirely, and decided that “scissors on top” meant to take a razor to the top of my head and shave off most of my hair. I have had the same haircut for the majority of my life and nobody has ever interpreted “scissors on top” as a buzz cut.

We dropped in for a child’s haircut and we’re seen right away. The stylist was gentle with our kid and did a great trim in just a few minutes time. At the end, he even got a lollipop!

Absolutely fabulous. It has taken me 2 yrs+ to find a stylist that can actually tapper and cut my hair in a short cut. Very warm and friendly atmosphere in College Park area. The nearby parking is only 75 cents per hour. The most reasonable I have seen in years. Plan to go back monthly.

I’ve been going to Pola for over 10 years to get my haircut and anytime I venture out and let someone else cut my hair, it’s never quite the same as when she does it. Throughout the years she’s done a pixie, an asymmetrical hairstyle, curls, numerous bobs, trims and layers. She slayed them all and my hair is super thick. I always get tons of compliments after and the pricing is very good. Pola is the best and her husband is very good at haircuts too! They are personable, family-owned/ran and friendly. I love this place and always recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely cut!

Good barber shop in downtown College Park, MD. Difficult to see due to construction in the shopping center it is located in but still open.
