I just completed my third workshop with Charlene and I want to keep coming back for more. I took two in Thai Massage and one in Barefoot Basics, learning how to do Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy. Charlene is a rare treasure in this community in that she is able to communicate information in detail, listen to students compassionately and respectfully, and provide support as we seek to improve ourselves as therapists. I would recommend this workshop and anything Charlene teaches to anyone who might be considering furthering her or his career in massage!

Charlene is absolutely AMAZING!!! It took me months to find a good MT in Memphis. After trying about 7+ bad or mediocre therapists, I just so happened was blessed to run into TN M&BW on google. That’s when I met Charlene /(Ms. Gaffney) after becoming a loyal client and getting some of the best massages of my life (and that’s saying allot since I’ve been a practicing LCMT for 12+ years) I was saddened when I had to move away and go back to searching for a therapist remotely close to having the skills that she has. After years of bad luck in my searching, I moved back to Memphis to find that she’d perfected her methods and is BETTER NOW THAN EVER!! I am extremely grateful to have the pleasure of being a proud client of TN Massage and Bodywork.

Prior to my regular appointments with Charlene I experienced chronic back and hip pain that required I visit the chiropractor. I have been under Charlene’s care for years now and have not seen the chiropractor once. She is very thorough, professional, and always on time. I highly recommend TN Massage and Bodywork not just for relaxation but for the health benefits as well.

Charlene is an extremely talented Artist in Vedic Thai Massage. Her years of dedication to this ancient folk art, have led her to a place of true healing. Her work allows your body to open and receive energy, prana. Working on specific lines in the body allows her to find “stuck” energy that can be released and let the body reawaken to a peaceful ease, that we are meant to experience. Try Thai…!!

Being a martial artist for over 34 years of my life, I know the value of bodywork by well trained professionals. My experience includes black belt in Songham tae Kwon do, graduate in capoeira and a green belt in Pasa Ryu Karate as well as cross training in various other systems. When I recently injured my lower back in an intense training session, I knew I needed immediate attention to assist in a speedy recovery. After one hour ashiatsu session with Charlene, I went from 33% function to 60% at least. I went from barely able to roll out of my car to hopping out. A week later, I am back in class at minimal activity and I know that Charlene’s work made a huge difference. Do your body a tremendous service and check her out!

works with ANY and EVERY individual, regardless of ailment type. This really helped due to my martial arts practice and desire for something narrowed into focus for solely myself. The body is a fortress unto which all thats put into it come to be a part of it in some way. She understood that, and gave me just what I was looking for and dearly needed. I train BaGua, Caporiera, and Arnis chiefly
