I have been trying to find a new place to get my nails filled at, and I was really hoping this one would be good since it’s right next to my husband’s barber. Unfortunately that will not be the case. Not only was I hurt at least 5 times while she was aggressively trying to file down my old acrylics, but she was obviously rushing through everything. Now I would have been fine with that and given them a 4-star review if it wasn’t for the poor quality of the nails! My nails lumpy and deformed and I have multiple nails with bubbles under the gel. She rushed through everything and didn’t care about the quality one bit.

I didn’t have the option of rating this business with a 0 or – 1. I will not be back, and absolutely do not recommend. I called in advance to make sure they had time and could provide me with the service I was wanting, Full set pink and white dip powder. They told me yes, and that I would be done in 45 minutes (sounded strange, so I just made sure it would be no more than an hour, as I would need to come back another day because I had to be at work after I got my nails done). As soon as I sat down, the woman began applying tips. I’ve never needed tips for dip, especially since I stated numerous times that I wanted no additional length, as I am on my computer a large portion of the day. Not only did she continue to insist I have length (eventually telling me she’d cut them down and file), she never used the dip. I asked about the dip multiple times. The layers/filler, she was adding to my nails, didn’t even go to the edge of my nail/cuticle. Eventually another woman took over and told me this way I would have better results and be able to have color at a later time. I told her several times I’m not wanting color now or next time. I want to keep it simple and professional looking. She insisted the way I was getting it was better and painted on the pink and white then used the light. Since the first woman didn’t cover my nails with product completely, the second woman cut the edges of the top of my nails to try to match the areas where the product didn’t cover. I was there for this service an hour and 25 minutes. I had to continually remind her that I needed to leave and still she tried to end with a hand massage, that I absolutely didn’t have time for, as if that was going to make up for the terrible job that was done; leaving me with a film on my hands and arms. She rung me up handed me an appointment card and told me I needed to come back in two weeks. NO THANK YOU! This experience was a nightmare. What I wanted was completely disregarded. I don’t usually give reviews like this, however what happened and a few pictures needed to be shared.

Disappointed. I brought my daughter here to get her nails done this past weekend, paid $45 plus a tip and she left with glue all over her hands, underneath the nails was jagged and filled with glue, and her nails were all misshaped. She also left the salon with scratches left on top of her hand from the her taking a nail file to her skin to remove nail polish that she got on her by accident. By the next day a nail had chipped at the cuticle and another is lifting. Will not be returning, even to have it fixed

Asked for powder dipped, and choose a purple color from the selection they had. They were rushed and my nails are in pain from where they drilled into my cuticles. The color is NOT what I chose originally, it’s a dark mauve. The edges are all messy and I’ll need to file them to look decent. And the nails are bumpy and obviously done in a rush. Got one hand massaged at the end? As long as you don’t look too close they’re ok, which is a shame.

Inexpensive, but I wouldn’t come back. I wasn’t asked which pedicure service I wanted, and what they did wasn’t impressive. It was rushed and a little rough, barely any scrubbing of dead skin, and they did a hot rock massage on my calves that only lasted around 10 seconds. I was very clear that I wanted to have my dip polish removed and redone, but instead of soaking the polish while I was getting my pedicure, they used a grinder to take off all the dip down to the point that a decent layer of my natural nail was gone in some places. I’ve never had painful dip polish grinding before, and my cuticle was chewed up on two fingers. The topcoat was not applied with care, just splashed on, so the shine isn’t even or tidy. They seemed to have quite a few regulars, and greeted multiple customers by name, but this newcomer will not be back. They were polite and friendly so the second star is for customer service, but not much else I can praise unfortunately.

Took a chance on a new nail salon today and was pleasantly surprised at TK Top Nails. I’ve been going to the same nail salon in Lakewood for 10 years but after moving to Puyallup, its just getting to be too much to drive out that way. The shop is small but cozy. I’ve been doing the pink/white powder forever, and added gel to it today. Lisa took care of me. This was the first time of not having my cuticles nicked/cut. She was careful to shape to my preference and matched both hands for length and shape, making corrections as needed. Thank you so much for a good first experience! I WILL be coming back!

The people are very nice. I had tips put on and then a special technique that I had never seen before. In general, she did a good job. The edging and underside could have been done better. I will go back for fills and color change. The main problem is that one of the stones was put on crooked and she didn’t correct it.

They did OK. Last time i visited was about a year ago and they did great. This time they cut the sides of my nails REALLY close to the actual skin under my nail. I was left with quite a few jagged areas even after pointing them out. I got a pedicure as well and realized when in my car that the polish didnt cover one of my toe nails completely.
