Walk in tattoo for my birthday today and they were extremely accommodating! Jesse worked with me to get what I had in mind. Extremely nice people too! The work Jesse did was great and I couldn’t be happier! Tattoos

I had to have my tragus piercing removed due to an infection that had spread, so I went to the first place in the area that was open. The guy who helped remove it was very patient and knew what he was doing… I get really nervous with piercings and he made sure I was comfortable throughout the removal process. The piercing was swollen and stuck in my ear, and he removed it without causing any damage, and it is healing really well. The lady who was there at the front desk was very sweet as well. They did not charge me for their services since it was an emergency, so it was very kind of them to help me out.

My son who is 17 got 2 tattoos – we came here because they accept minors. I hesitate because of other reviews but they were very friendly and understanding of the pain of getting a tattoo- my son was very happy with the results – nice people- price was okay – place was clean- Tattoos

Horrible experience. I echo the other reviews that say TJ is rude, condescending, and unprofessional. I didn’t get my original helix piercing done at TJ’s but the shop I got it at had an hour wait and all the other shops were closed or didn’t have a piercer on duty since it was a Monday. I called ahead to make sure they did jewelry changes on piercings not original to the shop and they said they did. I was thoroughly unimpressed by the inside of the shop. TJ had me sit in the main lobby the entire time instead of taking me in the back. From the moment I walked in he was gruff and seemed super annoyed that I was there even though there was no one else waiting. He seemed confused that I needed a hoop and brought out a stud first, then a hoop that was too small, and finally the right sized hoop. He asked me where I got my original piercing and then said, clearly annoyed, “well why didn’t you go back there?” He yanked and twisted and forced the hoop through and it hurt horribly. It hurt 10x more than the original piercing. At some point he said he might not even be able to get the earring through and he may have to re-pierce. He finally got it and fumbled with the ball for quite awhile before he finally got it on, hurting me quite a bit. I was quiet the whole time, not complaining at all. At some point he asked me if I was okay and when I said I was just sweating (from the pain but I didn’t say that) he said in a frustrated tone “why, I have a fan blowing on you?” I explained that I always sweat when getting tattoos or piercings. At no time during this experience did he ask for my ID or had me sign anything. 0/5 do not recommend. My experience at Alley Cat was so much better. Do not go here for any kind of piercing.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueCame by as a drop in for small and simple tattoo on my forearm. The price quoted was $175 and I was thinking, okay it seems expensive but he free hands. As he’s starting to draw, the placement seemed crooked so I politely asked if it would be straightened out in the process. He apparently took offensive and said if I didn’t like it, then get a stencil but he doesn’t do stencils. At this point I was nervous to have him continue on my tattoo as he seemed unhappy with me so I said, sure a stencil is great. He asked the woman to call the stencil girl because I didn’t like what he was doing, which wasn’t true – I had never had a free hand tattoo done before so was a little nervous. Simple reassurance would have helped. Well the stencil girl, Alex, showed up after about 45 min and we get started. Everything is going good, tattoo is about 3in long and 1in wide, no color – basically outline with a little simple shading. It all goes wrong. She didn’t take into account the movement of my arm (as most tattoo artists do when placing) so in certain arm movements it looked wonky. Extremely heavy handed, an aura of blow outs surrounded the tattoo and scar tissue resulted from my body trying to heal this. On top of that, after a 30 min small tattoo, who essentially is still an apprentice (which I wasn’t told until I asked her long she had been tattooing after we had already started) I was still charged $175. I left in shock, it was only after I got home and showed my husband that it all began to sink in. I got in touch with Alex on Instagram and asked about touch ups – she said they are $35. I complained that this wasn’t exactly a touch up, it was getting the damn thing to look better after paying $175. She said she would touch up for free, I apologized for going off on her and said it was fine. I would be dumb to get a touch up from the artist that just screwed this up. I had to wait about 6 weeks for it be healed (with scar tissue in spots) and paid another $200 to get it covered up by one of the great artists at Alley Cat. You can still see the old one as it is very dark, but at least I have a well done colorful piece of art on my arm rather than (what my husband lovingly called) a prison tattoo. Would not recommend – obviously – and no Alex did not put my tattoo on her Instagram as she does all of her other work, which says it all. Would love a refund, but this happened in November 2020 and I figured I would be fighting a losing battle. He fit me in for a walk in tattoo today! TJ was so kind, and talented. I showed him an idea, and he created an even better version, and drew it up right away. He was so patient with me.. I moved around a lot! I wish I could give more stars! I am in love with my new tattoo. He’s also a Vietnam veteran… we should always support our vets in work!
