Been searching for months for someone to do locs. I’ve taken him to a few places and we were not satisfied. FINALLY I believe we’ve found the right spot! Rita really knows about hair, the need of hydrating the hair, the products needed to get the hair healthy and she explained that it’s all a process and patience is the key. T&J are always professional. They care about healthy hair and they instruct you on how to keep it healthy as well as products.my granddaughters hair has broken off and they would not do a relaxer which shows money isn’t a thing over there. Its a christian shop too so even better!

I have searched for a hairstylist for years. I was looking for a place with a pleasant spiritual, kind & warm atmosphere. I was looking for someone who worked with natural hair. I needed someone I could trust completely. Well it’s been almost 3 years, And I am so thankful for Mrs. Rita & her daughter Theresa. They have never disappointed me and my two teen daughters. Mrs. Rita is an awesome educator on hair. She teaches us how to take good care of our hair when we are not able to see them on a regular basis. She will be honest with you and let you know what is best for your hair. I appreciate how patience, and understanding she is. She is truly god sent.

I moved here from DC about 9 months ago and had a rough time finding someone that knows how to keep my natural hair healthy. I booked T&J after reading the reviews and had Rita work her magic. This time it was just a wash, moisturizing treatment, and a trim. She also educated me on what type of products to use and how often to use them. She has earned me as a client for life.

Made an online appointment throught the site for a deep conditioning and cut with Rita. Received a text and email confirming the appointment 2 days ago. In the meantime, I’vebeen searching for styles that I like as I really needed to get back on track. I drive from austin and the door is locked. Thinking they’re taking extra precaution for covid, I call to elt them know I’m outside and no one answers the phone. Sign says it’s open. I’m at the barber next door and they saying they didn’t know why they were closed up right now. When i left the barber, a girl was walking up doing the same thing. Couldn’t get in. If the business is shut down for ANY REASON, it would be professional to let your appointments know. If this is how they run things, then I’m glad I didntget my service from them today. This is extremely poor business and the barber next door was cool if you have a short cut and need a shaping or trim.

Probably the best haircut I’ve had in years. Very clean shop, welcoming, professional barbers. Nicely restored vintage barber chairs, chilled beverages while you wait, big TVs on the wall, and a comfortable waiting area. This is not your typical chain shop. These guys are masters of their craft. This was my first time here, and I’ll I’ll definetly be back.
