I got a gel mani & pedi. I was not satisfied with the work at all. The manicure was worse than the pedicure to the point I tried to mention to the manicurist multiple times the things I was seeing to which she kept replying “I’ll file that” as the solution. I knew 30% into the manicure that it was going to be horrible and was tired of correcting her; this is why I am writing this review..because paying customers should not be put in a position to have to correct the work being serviced to them and run the risk of being seen as a nuisance. I let the receptionist know and was ultimately only given a 20% discount on the manicure service. I wont even get started on the issues with the pedicure but as a person who’s been getting pedicures her whole life, it was a very *unique* experience that I was not a fan of.

I went to Tipsy Nails for Apres GelX. They’re one of the only salons in the area to carry it and they have great reviews.

My first time here, such a good vibe, and the nail techs Jaihaira(pedi) and Jeilyn actually took time to educate me on my nail health! Jeilyn is a true artist, showed her a picture and she executed it so well. Definitely recommend them!

Critical: Quality, ValueI’ve been here, and sadly after the service I received and the prices I was charged, I won’t be returning. My first time here, the nail tech made my nails bumpy, uneven, and filed a hole into my skin. When I DMed the business on Instagram, I was offered to get them redone free of charge by a new tech. The second time I went, I was done by a different tech, but once again my nails were not the same length, spilling over the nail, and uneven. I was again offered the opportunity to get them done for free. When I got them done for free the second time, the nail tech encouraged me repeatedly to get a swirl design even though I said I didn’t want one, and I was charged $10 extra for it without being notified. I was really disappointed by this salon and their techs. There is no reason short acrylics with a simple swirl design should cost $70 total, or why I should have to get my nails fixed by different techs twice. There are other great salons in the area with much better pricing. I’d suggest saving your money and going elsewhere.Service: Acrylic nailsI’ve been here, and sadly after the service I received and the prices I was charged, I won’t be returning. I’m updating a previous 4 star review that I gave them. Although the service was good on gel x the first two times I’ve notice the nail technician got a bit sloppy and quick with my appointments. Customer service is lacking as per usually and they really need to dress better or have a uniform. It doesn’t look good to be wearing tight see through leggings where I can see your panties. And not all clients appreciate hearing profanity so they should be mindful of that when speaking.Lastly , with all the technology they have , the receptionist should not ask if I’d like to leave a tip on the card , that’s very unprofessional. Tip can be added on the machine , if not invest in a better payment system .

I’ve been going here a few times over the last year, usually for a gel mani and regular pedi. It definitely depends on which tech you have, but Nelly has done really great job every time. She’s not only skilled but also puts in the time for finishing touches to make sure you’re completely satisfied with the outcome. The gel manis done by her always last the longest. I also like the convenience of online booking and payment process.

I really wished that I read the google reviews prior to getting any service (gelx) at this salon. Not only did the service take hours 3+ to do, but it was done so horribly. I had to walk the tech through every process. It was as if she had never done the service before. I kept being told I was getting bad service because of the days that I came. Which was the 2nd red flag.

We wanted to love this place bc the salon receptionist and tech were lovely. In fact the receptionist was probably the most accommodating salon receptionist I have ever met. My teen daughter had full set acrylics with gel polish at end of May (26th) . Three days later, polish chipped on one, then the second. Four days later, one nail fell off, by 7 days 3 nails in tot fell off. As my daughters been in and out of hospital (she wasn’t changing tires, digging holes or even attending school) we didn’t get a chance to return for a touch up. Called today, spoke to lovely receptionist, she said she had to call her “boss Brian”. Brian said we could come in and for “$60 get nails refilled”. But this isn’t fill in situation, this is 3 nails completely falling off. Sooo if you’re looking to spend $70 for three days of nice nails, this review isn’t for you. Because for those 3 days nails looked terrific. IF however spending $70 for three days of nice nails seems outrageous, I’d find a new salon that stands by their work.
