I found Timothy John’s Salon on Google and since they had so many reviews, I decided to try them during my visit to NYC. I must say that I’m extremely happy with my hair. Griselda is awesome and she’s my new favorite stylist. I wanted to color, highlight and style my hair and She gave me exactly what I wanted. She took her time to make sure that I got more than I asked for and I highly recommend her to anyone that wants to get their hair done. She’s very friendly and has a great deal of knowledge on different hair types. She didn’t try to push any products on me which I love. The salon was very clean and everyone was very nice. I highly recommend checking out Timothy John’s Salon and working with Griselda for your next hair appointment.

This was my worse experience! When looking at the good reviews, I expected to have great results. After spending 7 hours in this hair dye process, I left the salon $300 short with fried, string cheese, hair. My hair was falling apart in chunks, and the employees along with my hairdresser had the audacity to ask me if I “liked it” while they were all side eyeing each other and whispering clearly having the knowledge that my hair was completely destroyed. Along with this horrendous atmosphere and garbage customer service, my hairdresser did not even cut my hair as she promised. I also have piercings on my ears in a healing process so I asked my hairdresser to not hit my ears and be more gentle for this case… it’s like she didn’t even hear me because by the time I left my ears were inflamed, red, and throbbing(keeping in mind that my piercings were fine when I arrived). The story doesn’t end here… when rinsing my hair the hairdresser used ice-cold water when it’s already so freezing outside, the water was also showering down my back so my shirt was soaked. Since my hair was being dyed black in some parts of the hairstyle I asked for, my hairdresser managed to be extremely sloppy and get BLACK DYE ON MY FACE! That’s absolutely unprofessional and a sign of lack of experience… complete amateur. For the cherry on top, my stylist did not even blowout and style my hair before I leave to finish the look. This experience was utterly disgusting and disappointing. I wish there was a 0 stars option because this salon doesn’t deserve the slightest based on the crime scene committed on my head. Don’t ever go there!

When i spotted Timothy John Salon, I stopped in my tracks! I walked in and was greeted so kindly by David who helped guide to the decision that i wanted highlights and a haircut. Timothy just so happened to have a cancellation so I made a reservation for the next day. Timothy nailed my hair! The highlights are perfect and the cut is exactly what i had hoped for! Long layers that i can still put up in a pony! The salon is beautiful ! Everyone is so nice and it seems like everyone works together as one beautiful team! thank you for an amazing experience!

Wonderful place! So happy I found it! Very friendly people from the moment I made my appointment to when I walked out the door. The stylist, Michal, listened to me and in listening made suggestions I would not have even thought of. She was meticulous in her color application leaving me with awesome color dimension and beautiful shades of blond. Probably the best blond I’ve ever had-and unlike other times I’ve went lighter-it has not turned brassy at all, It’s still the same a month later! I only wish I lived in NYC so I could go here regularly! I will definitely visit again when I go back for work.

I have a huge appreciation for well run businesses and knew I had to give a review on this salon. The stylists were all very professional and friendly. The salon was very clean, organized and well maintained. I had been eyeballing the salon every time I walk by on my commute and finally one day I stopped in and spoke to Gabriel about my intentions of trying to embrace my graying hair. He listened to what I wanted, made suggestions, and got me into the salon within a few days for an appointment. I was a bit nervous about leaving the salon and looking old but he did such an amazing job on my color, the cut, and the blow out. Gabriel was a super interesting guy and really fun to visit with as well! All of the stylists appeared to work as a team and help each other with their clients so even if there was a stylist with less experience or someone was overbooked in that salon, the whole team was there as backup so it wouldn’t even matter. I really enjoyed my appointment with Gabriel and I will definitely be returning to him and this salon for my future hair appointments!

Recently moved to NYC, I’ve had the same colorist for years so finding a new one was was a little scary. I walked in to Timothy John’s Salon and felt so comfortable, they were very professional, clean, nice and attentive. I booked an appointment with Gracie. She did a fabulous job with my touch-up, high-lights and gloss. Very happy, left there with my next appointment booked. Highly recommended.
