Melissa is AMAZING!! I’ve been with her for about 5 years. It’s hard to find a nail tech that cares about your nail health more than just giving you what you want. She’s always been very professional and provide outstanding service. She will go above and beyond when you just request the basic. She has a heart of gold and she cares for her clients. I love, love, love TheWorks Nail Studio! I’ve been going to the shop since they opened in February. The service is always amazing and great conversations! The nail salon offer beverages and light snacks. My nail tech is awesome with being gentle and providing me with the best service. My favorite part of the service is the cuticle care it’s apart of the service most shops don’t offer it or it’s an additional cost. Super friendly shop, definitely an experience you want to receive!

I gave this shop two tries before I decided to write this review. First time I went there, the shop seemed pretty new and they were still in the middle of setting up the shop. I thought that was a bit off since businesses usually do their setup without customers present. I sat down and it didn’t take long for a nail tech to start working on my nails. After a little while, the owner mentioned that she was closing early because she had a meeting. Cool, not a problem! Then she (the owner) started to passive aggressively rush the tech so that she could finish my nails faster. Even went as far as saying “I’m sorry, I didn’t know it would take you this long to do her nails” to the tech. I offered to come back the next day in order to alleviate the tension between the nail tech and the owner. I came back the next day and the energy of the owner was just off. The day prior, I asked her if she could do a design on my nails and she agreed to do it. The day that I went back, I asked her if she could still do the design and stated that she had clients and wouldn’t be able to do it. Okay cool not a problem! Her client showed up half an hour later and during that time, she just kept setting up her shop. I would’ve like better if she just said no, instead of giving me an excuse, especially since the design that I wanted was very simple. The owner just seems annoyed with me being there and maintained a nice nasty attitude the whole time. Her two small children were also at the shop on both days, and I thought it was really unsafe to have a baby around all the chemicals and strong scented nail products. I’m big on customer service and positive attitude, and none of that was portrayed. Needless to say, I will not be going back.

Everyone at TheWORKS is so nice and pleasant. I got my nails done by Melissa back when she first started doing nails and she has only gotten better! I recent Just started my nail growth journey and can already see a big difference ! Cierra is wonderful as well, she has done a few pedicures for me. 10/10 definitely recommend. I cant say enough good things about this salon. I’ve been going to Melissa for years and the quality of her skills/artwork stands out among the rest. I haven’t been able to get back to DE lately for a manicure so I purchased a few sets of her custom press on nails and I’ve been getting so many compliments on them. The shop is such a vibe and I cant wait to go back.
