Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueI went and got my nails and hair done by Monica. I forgot I had even done this review before it popped up reminding me about it. I originally had left a 5 star review which I shouldn’t have. I went to have my nails done and to get my split dye fixed. She processed my hair too long and I ended up having to cut off a good majority of my hair. It’s just now grown back a year and a half later. I went and got my nails and hair done by Monica. I forgot I had even done this review before it popped up reminding me about it. I originally had left a 5 star review which I shouldn’t have. I went to have my nails done and to get my split dye fixed. She processed my hair too long and I ended up having to cut off a good majority of my hair. I had never had such an terrible experience. The owner didn’t handle things professionally nor give me a refund. The owner made excuses the whole time….she wasn’t there at the time and kept questioning if my hair was really “that bad”. She had me come back in and prove to her how bad my hair was. It took me a year and a half to get my hair healthy again. I initially went here because it was new and close to my house. Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value*lengthy review*I do not write reviews so please bare with me.So I went for a pedicure and acrylic full set yesterday. The girl that did my pedicure must have been relatively new because she informed my she could do my pedicure but could not my acrylics because she was not trained yet. She offered to do dip nails for me but that’s not what I made my appointment for and its not what I wanted. So I declined and she let me know that “Monica” who I believe is the owner of the salon, would do my nails. Pedicure went great. Hannah was very personable and payed attention to what she was doing. I give her 5 stars. However I then went to Monica. I warned her about a nerve I have at the tip of one of my fingers and told her I may jump if she touched it. I DO NOT expect anyone to remember this issue I have. I simply tell them because if I jump I want them to know why ahead of time. So a few things went wrong1. The electric file went down to the skin under my nail on one of my pointer fingers. I didnt say anything and it was covered with acrylic but believe me I felt and saw it.2. She did in fact hit my nerve which I wasnt even super angry about because once again I DO NOT expect anyone to remember.. what bothered me was when she decided to announce to the ENTIRE salon that she had made me cry because she touched it and embarrassed me.3. After painting my nails she had to buff a few times because the acrylic was lumpy and kept shifting on my thumbs which still looks horrible.4. While manually filing she kept digging deeper and deeper into the edges of my skin and I have bloody cracks in the edges of my skin.5. I had glitter put on my middle fingers which there was no top coat put on.. but I trusted her.. big mistake as now most of it is rubbed off and feels sticky.I paid ALOT to have my nails done here and it was not my first time at the salon and was hoping it would be my new “go to” place in town. It looks like a child did my nails. There are lumps everywhere. The glitter is already rubbing off. My fingers are sore and I am not happy. Needless to say I will not go back.
