Wow what a great experience! I got the Urban Premier Cut for my first haircut at Urban Shave and I wasn’t disappointed. Probably the first haircut where I was smiling during the haircut. Not only was Alejandra great to talk to, she also gave this new Floridian plenty of tips on where to go and things to do in the area. The head and back massage were icing on the cake. She was also very detailed and asked a lot of questions about how I wanted my cut to be. No offense to other barber shops, but this is the way a haircut should be. Phenomenal experience. I’ll definitely be back!

I booked an appointment with Marquis a few months ago after I had heard about The Urban Shave through a friend. My last barber, who I had been going to for over a decade, had to relocate out of state, so I was skeptical about finding a new barber that I could trust. Marquis did an amazing job of easing my worries by taking his time to precisely edge up around the sides of my neck and beard. His easygoing personality, combined with the kind greeting I received from the rest of the staff when I arrived, was very welcoming for my first visit. Both the receptionist and my barber were very kind, and had amazing customer service skills. However, the haircut I received was not what I asked for, and was an overall low quality haircut. I then was overcharged for said haircut, which I was charged $37 for. The only haircut that is offered on the website that is near $37 includes a hot towel, and a razor to clean up behind the ears and neck. I did not receive either of these.

Feel bad giving this place two stars because I need to find a new barber, and after reading the reviews, I had high hopes for this place. Haircut was terrible. Asked for a tapered fade and instead got a buzz cut all the way up the sides of my head with a piece of sod left on top. Oh, and I showed a picture to the barber of a past haircut I received so he had something to go off of and compare it to. I left looking like Tommy Shelby. Two stars because I got a complimentary beer. But is it complimentary when they charge what they did for the cut I received? Maybe it was just my barber. Looking around, other folks seemed to be getting decent haircuts, but I think I’ll try my luck at another joint.
