I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to write a review for these guys because I’ve been going to them for almost 6 years now. I’ve seen DeAnnalyn, Janelle, and Tuesday numerous times for both cut and color treatments and would highly recommend any of them to anyone. They listen to your needs, are incredibly personable and kind, and the store itself is beautiful and welcoming. My mom had been cutting her own hair for as long as I can remember and is now one of DeAnnalyn’s clients, and my boyfriend is a former Sports Clips frequenter who now goes to Teal for his haircuts (bless up). If you want consistency, a great atmosphere and a connection to your stylists that you can’t get anywhere else, go to Teal Salon.

I’m particular about my hair. I’m one of those “cut it, but not too short, but cut it shorter, but dont cut too much” people. Annoying, I admit. This salon is so great! Janelle is my stylist and I’m ALWAYS shocked at how she knows just want I want, but more importantly what I need. She can make a huge difference with the angles and snips here and there she does. Color? Wonderful! I honestly dont know how she gets the perfect blend for the most natural look. Teal salon takes great care that customers feel important, pampered and leave happy. Highly professional, highly skilled, highly recommended.

I just got my haircut today and really enjoyed my visit. I usually stress when I get my haircut but I was so comfortable and could tell I was in great hands. Deannalynn teal is amazing and so nice! She asks a lot of intro questions, has great vision and skill to support it. I’m new to Portland and so happy to have found a place I love!

DeAnnalyn and Janelle are wizards when it comes to bringing out someone’s best look. They have been cutting and styling my hair for over a year now and it is 100% been miles better than any other service that I’ve ever had. Janelle gave me one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had – it’s edgy but professional – super cute – and it works with my hair – it looks good with minimal styling!! She listened to what I had to say, gave me professional advice, and worked hard to give me a haircut I’d like. Plus she created a very pleasant environment. A hair-cutting superstar!

Ok, well let’s start with the fact that I’ve been going here for about 15 years. If that doesn’t already tell you, this place is awesome. DeAnnalyn is a freaking color genius. No matter how many styles/colors we tried in the past she always keeps it fresh and modern. Tuesday and Janelle are fantastic with cuts as well. They always manage to come up with something cool or unique and make me feel like a million bucks every time I leave here. I can’t say enough about how great all these ladies are. And I’m EXTREMELY picky. Never going anywhere else!

I’ve been going to Deannylyn for color and to Ryan for cuts since we moved to Portland in 2005 and now consider them friends as well as very talented and honorable people. Moving is traumatic for those who depend on their hairdressers to keep them looking good so I was amazingly lucky to find these two. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is great. I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else for my color or cuts.

Critical: Professionalism, PunctualityI did a hair show with the Teals once and it was an awful awful experience. I was not being paid for my service (make up on 12 models each day) They were late each day, incredibly arrogant, and treated the other stylists/myself as servants. Ryan for cuts and DeAnnalyn for color are a dream team. They spend much of their time traveling the country teaching the latest styles and techniques. The entire crew at Teal Salon are fun, laid back, and professional. I highly recommend them, you can’t go wrong.
