NOT FOR CURLY HAIR. I was really excited for my haircut but ended up with a mess. I called before making an appointment to ask if there were any stylists who were comfortable and experienced with cutting very thick and extremely curly hair, and I was told that there was a person. So, I booked. I went to my appointment and was met by a friendly stylist, Ms. Nicole Jones, who cut my hair. I thought the technique was a little off but she explained it so I felt confident. I usually let my hair air dry, so when she offered to dry it using a dryer I politely declined. My hair felt healthier and looked better, I thought. But when my hair dried I noticed that it was completely cut uneven, and my ringlets all fuzzed out and will not curl properly anymore. My hair is at all different lengths and so I can’t wear it down. I’m going to have to cut off at least four more inches to fix this. I emailed the salon and tried to contact them to come up with a solution but I never heard back. So, overall advising that if you have thick hair that is any way shape or form not pin straight, maybe skip this one.

First time in two weeks ago. Hairdresser was Nicole. Asked for a trim and something to give me some texture and lift. She gave me a dry cut with my part messy and on the side. Then used “a Japanese technique” to cut shorter hair underneath for more flow. Left feeling vaguely satisfied and optimistic. Got home and noticed tangling immediately. Changed to a middle part and hair length was completely uneven, contributing to tangling and a stringy look. I had to fix it best I could myself. Usually after a trim, hair feels lighter, cleaner, and a bit bouncier. It looked better before this cut. My hair since has been stringy and greasy even the same day as a wash. Very disappointed, will not return or recommend.

I started going to Erica at The Studio Suite about 1.5 years ago and honestly, my hair has never looked better! She does a really good job with both cut and color. I receive more compliments than ever on my hair. Their prices are very fair and any interaction that I’ve had with the other stylists have always been great as well. It’s really nice having a salon like this in town so that I no longer have to drive to Indy to get my hair done.

Just had my haircut on Tuesday. Booking the appointment was easy and I received multiple reminders, which is a huge plus for me. Super awesome space, has an industrial but sophisticated design. Chill music was playing and there’s coffee! The staff are really nice and understanding of what I wanted with my hair. Definitely going here from now on!

I haven’t went to a new stylist in over 15 years! Erica did a wonderful job with my curly locks and my hair hasn’t curled up this much naturally in years. Not sure what she did differently but she did a wonderful job.
