I was very disappointed with my experience at The Strand Salon. I’ve never felt as uncomfortable in a salon as I felt as soon as I arrived. Don’t expected a friendly environment with the exception of the hair assistant. From start to finish the whole experience lacked professionalism and skills. Marina botched my hair and when when I told her that I was dissatisfied the attitude I received from her was appalling. No offer to fix it (not that I would have let her touch my hair again) I’m so disgusted, TERRIBLE! I certainly would not recommend this place to anyone.

Hidden gem of a salon nestled in charming Miami Springs, next to the Greek Deli, I don’t know about you ladies, but just a handful of times in my life I have run into a stylist that really “understands hair”. I know you ladies know what I’m talking about. We find someone, we’re with them for a while and then something happens and we lost touch with them. We go to another salon thinking we will find the same quality, but find out how wrong we were and live with hair we are “ok” with but never totally happy. Marina undertands hair. She doesn’t just do the modern cuts, although she can, but understands someone like me who likes the layered look from back in the 70’s. It might be old style but it’s what I like and it fits my face and she can do it. She also listened to what I was asking for, which not all stylists do. I have even brought a picture in to previous stylists but it never did much good. The blowout was amazing and lasted me almost an entire week! Great color and highlights superbly done – not too thin and not chunky. The prices were so reasonable, as well! All this time I’ve been traveling over ten miles to find a salon, only to find out that it was relatively close to home. Recommend highly.

The experience was okay, I went looking for another new place that was in the same plaza, since I am new in the area got confuse an enter this hair salon instead of the other one. For me the owner knew I was in the wrong place, specially because I said I called to change my appointment and was told to come before. She never told me just to have the money from my service. She worked fast to take me out of the way because obviously I was not on her appointment book!. Very disappointed for people like this.
