Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, QualityI usually never write reviews, but reviews is how I found this place, and I wanted to share my experience! My sister and I were looking for balayage since the Covid gray hairs were out of control. The Strand is very clean and they have a sanitizing tube that disinfects you and checks your temperature before you walk in. I had Deska do my color and Alma did my cut. I usually never write reviews, but reviews is how I found this place, and I wanted to share my experience! My sister and I were looking for balayage since the Covid gray hairs were out of control. The Strand is very clean and they have a sanitizing tube that disinfects you and checks your temperature before you walk in. I had Deska do my color and Alma did my cut. Positive: Professionalism, QualityI went to the Strand Salon looking for someone to fix my hair. I had gotten highlights and they came out extremely streaky and just not what I had asked for. A friend of mine, told me about the Strand Salon and suggested I go to Alma. Let me tell you, she did such an incredibly job. I sent her pictures prior to my appointment and she knew exactly what I needed. She blended my hair and made the color absolutely beautiful! I’m so glad I came here. I went to the Strand Salon looking for someone to fix my hair. I had gotten highlights and they came out extremely streaky and just not what I had asked for. A friend of mine, told me about the Strand Salon and suggested I go to Alma. Let me tell you, she did such an incredibly job. I sent her pictures prior to my appointment and she knew exactly what I needed. She blended my hair and made the color absolutely beautiful! I’m so glad I came here. Of course I get very nervous because I don’t trust my hair with anyone. It happen to be that I bumped into The Strand Salon during my research and I decided to give them a try. I live in New York City, and I did not mind traveling to NJ. My experience was beyond what I expected, the staff are very sweet, nice and attentive, and most importantly during these times we are all facing, they have a sanitation tunnel that I haven’t seen in any other salon, where you get sanitized and they double check your temperature. It is SUPER clean and the staff are always sanitizing after every client and their work area. My hair came out just perfect, I want to Highly Recommend Alma, she did such an amazing job with my hair and was always attentive, patient , professional and making sure I was comfortable. I have been looking for a hair salon that would meet my expectations on what I have been looking to do for my hair. Of course I get very nervous because I don’t trust my hair with anyone. It happen to be that I bumped into The Strand Salon during my research and I decided to give them a try. I live in New York City, and I did not mind traveling to NJ. Back in December I thought it would be funny if I cut my own bangs, and like a lot of people that have went down that path too, I ended up messing up my hair horribly. I waited a few month for it to grow out, and after a while I couldn’t take my hair anymore and just had to get it fixed, lol. My cousin recommended this place, so my mom took me there yesterday. I had literally no clue as to what I wanted, but my stylist, Alma, helped decide, and even pulled up a pinterest board with amazing hairstyles! That was so thoughtful!Layers? Amazing. Flowy-ness? Check. Dead ends? Gone. Hotel? I rarely leave reviews on things but I’m so happy with how my haircut turned out! Back in December I thought it would be funny if I cut my own bangs, and like a lot of people that have went down that path too, I ended up messing up my hair horribly.
