My husband and I discovered this wonderful place when looking to enjoy a couples massage for Valentines Day. We were treated to an unexpected gift for booking the appointment near that holiday. The previous spa we went to had just eliminated their couples massage room. We didn’t realize what a gem we found.

I visited the Spa of Essex for my first ever spa treatment last year for my birthday and it was surely a treat!!! Upon entering the front door I was very comfortable and the receptionist at the front desk was very friendly. We then had lunch in the kitchen nook and had a glass of wine while we waited for our treatments to begin. I had a facial which was phenomenal!!! After the facial (which they will tailor to your skin type) we spent some time in the relaxation room just (you guessed it) relaxing. It was such a great experience I am coming back again this year for my birthday and I am bringing more friends. Everyone deserves a SPA DAY!!!!!!!!!

What an amazing day way to spend an afternoon. I can’t say enough how impressed I was with our treatment at the spa of Essex. From the moment we walked in and Deanna greeted us, until we left the spa relaxed and rejuvenated, we had a first class experience. Our robes and slippers were super comfy, and we took full of advantage of the steam room and the sauna before getting an amazing hot stone massage. The relaxation room had a comfy chair big enough for two, and the shower facilities were well appointed as well. Everything from the quality of the massage to the hot tea and little snacks available between steam and sauna made for an amazing day at this spa. I highly recommend the Spa of Essex to anyone looking to get away and be pampered by some really talented and genuinely nice people.

This spa is one that I have returned to repeatedly and look forward to each tranquil moment here. The staff are the epitome of professional and skilled yet also welcoming and fun. Have never had anything even remotely negative occur here and would rate it 100 stars if possible. In addition to the awesomely talented staff and incredible pampering treatments, the steam room, sauna and relaxation room are the cherry on top. This spa is truly the most wonderful place to recharge and feel like a million dollars when you leave. Love it so much♡

When I think of ultimate relaxation in the shoreline area I always think of Spa of Essex and the services they provide. My mom, sister and I always head to Spa of Essex for a special ladies day out around the holidays each year and our favorite part of the day is continuing to unwind after the massage in the relaxation room. It has the most comfy chairs and blankets in that room and is a true treat. We’ve also done the make-up tutorial and had a great experience as well. I love that they carry Bare Minerals and other higher end beauty products right on site. My go to gift to give out around the holidays is a Spa of Essex giftcard!

My daughter and I visited the Spa just after Christmas. What a wonderful place to unwind! We each had an excellent massage by qualified therapists ; then on to the Relaxation Room – dimly lit, extremely comfy, deep chairs and wonderful water. We both came out very relaxed and happy. A visit to the Spa for both of us will be part of every visit I make to the East Coast. A wonderful new tradition.

Have gone to The Spa of Essex with my husband for a couples massage, with friends, and on my own over the past few years. Staff is always friendly and accommodating, services are always rejuvenating and relaxing, and the staff also gives me further explanation into whatever treatment I’m having done and the benefits to my overall health. I try to book something at least once every 1-2 months to keep me going!

The Spa of Essex is the towns hidden gem. The staff is so attentive, the building is immaculate and the prices are comparable to local spas. I love knowing when I go to the spa it’s like an escape. Go in for an hour service and leave 4 hours later (after a cat nap in the relaxation lounge) feeling rested, relaxed and ready to take on the world. Thanks for always making me feel amazing! Wouldn’t change a thing.

The facilities at Spa of Essex are top notch and really make you feel pampered. My massage itself was amazing and very relaxing. The one thing I would complain about was that the owner/management was a little cold when I tried to use a coupon I got from them through an email. Because I was using a gift card from SpaFinder to pay for the services they did not want to honor the coupon they sent to me directly. I am okay if that is their policy, however the way management spoke to me made me feel as though wanting to save money made me unworthy of using their services. I would recommend them if you want a beautiful spa and amazing massage, but you may feel as though you don’t belong.
