After hours of San Diego spa research, I’m so glad I found this place! It’s the perfect choice for a full day like I did, or even just a massage and hour in the jacuzzi and sauna. I got the 50min Free Flowing Massage, and man do I recommend Janelle! What a pro! best massage I’ve ever had. Between that and the free access to the pristine, well stocked locker room, showers, and peaceful relaxation room and jacuzzi patio, it was well worth the steeper massage price. Oh and the bathrobes are soft and cozy. Treat yourself and you’ll feel like a queen for the day.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this peaceful spa! My daughter and I started with brunch at the hotel on the patio overlooking the beautiful gardens. Then we checked into the spa early to enjoy the jacuzzi and sauna. The girls at the front desk (Mallory, Lisa, and Bre) were very warm and welcoming! Mallory greeted us with champagne and chocolates (that are made in house). She took us back and showed us around the spa and got us set up with our lockers. She made us feel very special by checking on us throughout the time we were there bringing more champagne, chocolates, and scented cold towels as needed. I had the hot stone massage from Lori. It was amazing! Lori made sure I was comfortable throughout the massage. She checked with me to see what areas I wanted her to work on and the degree of pressure I was comfortable with. Attention to detail was made from the heated table, heated back mat, relaxing music, essential oils, and of course the amazing hot stones. It was perfect! My daughter had her massage with Michelle and said it was also wonderful. Afterwards, we relaxed in the peaceful and comfortable waiting area that looks out to a fireplace and sitting area outside until we headed off to the showers. Thank you ladies of Spa at Estancia for making our day so memorable and relaxing 🙂

There was a positive component in my spa experience and that was my facial. My technician was great, knowledgeable and very personable. She looked for a bolster for my legs and when she couldn’t find one she rolled towels. Although that took time away from treatment. Service was only 45 min.

Wonderful experience for my 30th bday! The spa is quaint and intimate. Went on a week day, my mother and I were able to enjoy the whole spa to ourselves(eucalyptus steam rm, jacuzzi, etc).

Nice massage but they started late (I was on time but this was first massage of the day and therapists were not ready) and ended on time so a very expensive 50 minute massage was a ~40’ish minute massage instead. Also they added 20% to the bill but not sure who gets this.

Massages are fantastic but they automatically add a %21 service charge and they don’t give that to the massage therapists AND they don’t tell you when you checkout. Only %15 actually goes to the staff, the hotel keeps the rest. Kind of shady, considering how much they charge for the massage itself. The spa needs better management

I had a fabulous massage with the amazing Alexandria at this spa. She’s grrreat. Plus I got there early to chill, sit in the hot tub, steam room… then after took a nap under an umbrella. If you want to feel pampered… book your appointment. It’s worth it.

Spa review: Massages are great, but the atmosphere, cleanliness and elegance…for a high end spa… was extremely disapointing!

Do not go here! I specifically picked this location as a surprise for my wife to enjoy a Spa day in La Jolla. Initially everything went great, I purchased the CBD oil massage for 50 mins and was quoted $185. I provided my credit card number and was assured I would be charged after my wife’s visit. I even added the Eco Fin foot treatment. Basically, as soon as I hung up everything went downhill. The massage evidentally was great, but I later found out it is not a foot rub and my wife said they only did 1 foot for what was only a minute. Also, the most surprising part was when my wife was charged $250 for her massage. Which unbeknown to me included a $40 service charge. So to be clear I set the appointment, gave my credit card information, was told it would be $218 with the eco foot thing, fespite getting an email quote for $185 (see pics) then they charged my wife who went for a relaxing day was forced to pay $250 despite me being promised I would be charged (it was a surprise gift). Personally, I will never reccomend this place to anyone. Hidden fees, service charges, and a clueless staff that doesn’t communicate with eachother let alone effectively with their customers. You can view my pics for what I was quoted and what they charged my wife. Skip this place, we will!!
