Overall my treatment experience was great! My massage therapist Yuli asked enough questions to get the pressure correct but was not overly talkative. Unfortunately, there appeared to be a staff shortage based on the fact that no one gave us a tour of the facility, there were no clean flip flops when my group arrived, towels were spilling outside the hamper, a lack of towels preventing showers after treatment for some in my party, and snacks and remnants were not promptly cleaned up in relaxation lounge. Additionally, the hot tub while warm was not working properly. To elevate the experience despite the staff shortage, I recommend adding more hampers and garbage cans so guests can dispose of items easily. Additional signage should indicate where to put what and clarify things that would have been included on the tour. I would try this place again because of the quality of my massage.

I visited The Spa at Chatham Bars Inn for a “Girls Day” in July 2022. My friends and I received an Aroma Journey Massage (90 minutes) and a Signature Facial (60 minutes). It was hands down the WORST massage of my life. Absolutely horrible. The massage therapist could not possibly be formally trained – she was horrendous and seemed to have no idea what she was doing. The high(low)light was her physically scratching my head like I was a dog during the “scalp massage” – thankfully she only scratched one side since she didn’t tend to do things on both sides of my body. She also yawned audibly four times during the massage. There are too many ridiculous things to list. We mentioned my discontent to the manager after the message but nothing was done. I chose not to make a huge deal out of it at the time in an attempt to not ruin our Girls Day. I have since reached out to the spa and received no reply. So, I’m not happy to have paid $275 to uncomfortably lie on a table for 90 minutes. In positive news, the facial was amazing. Would NOT recommend.

Had a wonderful spa morning with girlfriends. Friendly staff, beautiful facility, wonderful destress massage. Tea and water (with fruit to flavor it) as well as a sauna, zen garden and pool. Thank you for the relaxing morning. Highly recommend?

I was a bit worried I wouldn’t be able to book as I didn’t get a call back for several days after I left my initial voice-mail. Having online booking or something similar, rather than voice-mail, would be a great improvement. Other than that, this spa exceeded all my expectations. Along with the 3 very nice services (Massage, custom facial, pedicure), the available amenities were amazing. Everything you could need as far as toiletries and personal care items in the very well kept locker area, indulgent steam showers, a very nice sized (and more importantly HOT) sauna, spacious outdoor hot tub and pool, with plenty of lounge chairs and cabanas. I will definitely be coming back the next time I’m on the Cape!

I have been to spas all over the world and I received the best massage I have ever had here at the spa at Chatham Bars Inn. My massage therapist was Dara and she did a fantastic job making the massage relaxing and she was a magician on the knots in my neck. The lotions and oils used smelled great and didn’t feel sticky afterwards, which is much appreciated. My husband had a massage as well and said it was phenomenal.

Critical: Communication, Professionalism, QualityBad experience overall. Booking was difficult- I called many times to book treatments and nobody answered. I work in healthcare and have been working long hours due to the pandemic. I emailed them and told them since they didn’t answer my calls email would be preferable means of communication. They continued to call me despite this and despite me communicating with them over email. Day of our first treatments we never got a reminder/ confirmation the day day of. We mistakenly thought our treatments were at 2pm but they were at 12:30. The spa left me a voicemail, but I didn’t have my cell phone. We were staying in the hotel. They sent me a RUDE email with snarky all capitals and “…” finally they called our room 15 minutes after our treatments were supposed to have started and told us we were late. We arrived in the spa 30 minutes into our treatment times that were supposed to be one hour. They never offered to reschedule for us and we’re very rude when we arrived. We were not confrontational and we’re apologetic, but the women at the front desk were rude. My massage therapist was a redeeming gem, but my friends aesthetician was awful. She was rude throughout the treatment, not ready for my friend when we arrived, and let her out exactly 1 minute prior to when the treatment was supposed to end. Is is off season and the resort is quiet, but there were no efforts to be accommodating. The front desk ladies were then rude to us again on our way out. We canceled our remaining treatments and will never come here again. We think they might have been rude to us since we appear young, however we are both in our 30s with high power jobs. We have a lot of friends in Boston we could have recommended this spa to, but we will be telling them to stay far from it.Bad experience overall.
