I got my very first Brazilian wax with Brittany for my wedding and now that I’ve started I never want to stop! Britt makes the process so easy and she is super friendly. We always have great conversations during my appointment which makes it go by so fast! After my service at The Sleek Peach, I threw away my numbing cream! The key is to keep up with your visits and proper skin care in between visits. Prior to coming to Brittany for a Brazilian, I had only had one other waxing experience— I went to a well-known chain and was in so much pain, and was left with such underwhelming results (patchiness, remaining hair, regrowth that occurred way too quickly, etc.) that I swore I’d never get waxed again. But when I had a week-long beach vacation planned (a year after my first experience) I started to look into waxers in the area and found Brittany. Her impeccable reviews convinced me to give it another shot, and now, I don’t think I’ll ever go back to shaving. I have now gone to Brittany twice for Brazilians, and I have no plans of stopping. Not only was she welcoming, informative, and easy to talk to, but she made the experience far less painful. Listen, the first Brazilian you ever get (or the first in over a year) is NEVER going to be easy. There WILL be a certain level of discomfort, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as the pain I felt a year prior at the popular chain I went to initially. And the results she achieved, absolutely FLOORED me. I’m half Portuguese and Hispanic, so as you can imagine, I had really thick, coarse hair when I walked into her office the first time. By the time I went back, 4 weeks after my initial appointment, I literally didn’t know if she would even be able to wax me because I had almost NO hair, and what had grown in was extremely thin. This is literally unheard of for me. My second visit was completely painless, and extremely quick (I didn’t wince once). If you have any ounce of interest in trying waxing, I can’t encourage you more to not only give it a try (and push past the initial appointment and attend your second one, because you’ll be amazed by how easy it is), but to book with Brittany! Do yourself a favor by dodging the large chains, while also supporting a female-owned small business, ran and operated by a true professional and expert in her field. I promise you won’t regret it.
