I’m so glad I didn’t allow the negative reviews to detour me. I scheduled a consultation with Rosa. Even though I ran late to the consultation, she was still pleasant. She took her time and gave me options while assuring me she could execute the style and boy did she! I loved my hair. The best part about my experience is that I received a call the next day to check on my experience. Now, that’s how you do it! I will definitely be going back. Thanks Rosa

The Silk Out Bar has a very chill, welcoming environment. Kayla was beyond amazing! I am so happy that I chose her to service me. She was very sweet , gentle, and showed that she was very passionate about what she does. I booked the level 2 silk press, this is day 2 and my hair STILL “got more bounce than a ounce ,” which is a plus for me because I am so used to my hair frizzing back the same day due to me not silk pressing often. Thank you so much Kayla, I will definitely be back!!

I would never recommend Rosa as a hair stylist to any bride on their wedding day or any one at this point! She did not show up the day of my wedding at the scheduled appointment time to do my hair or my moms hair July 3. We had a wedding contract. I contacted her cell personally along with calling the salon when I arrived on time for my appointment that morning at 9 am. She never answered my text or calls. There was a lock smith that showed up the same time I did and he was unable to get in contact with her as well. He finally was able to reach the manager of the salon and informed me the manager could not get a hold of her either. I was in tears the morning of my wedding day with no stylist for me or my mom. 45 mins had past still with no response from Rosa. The locksmith then got a call back from the manager saying someone was on the way to the salon. When she reached her name was Crystal and she informed me she could get me and my mom hair started and apologized for the inconvenience but did not know where Rosa was. After sometime had passed, still with no response from Rosa she still continued to do my hair and my moms hair by pushing her client that was scheduled that day appointment time back. Not knowing this woman at all I had to trust her with my hair on my wedding day! She encouraged me, dried my tears and shifted what could have negatively set the tone for the rest of my wedding day. She was heaven sent and a blessing for me and my mom that day! My hair came out beautifully and my mom’s hair did too. She informed me I was her first bride under pressure. I want to thank Crystal for stepping in and helping me on my wedding day. She did not have to do that. If she wasn’t there and did not have a client scheduled that day, I would have not had anyone to do my hair because Rosa never showed up and still almost a month later no apology from her or response. So unprofessional, disheartening and ghetto!

Had an amazing first time experience. I called and asked if they had availability, they said yes and were professional on the phone (that’s big for me). I came in at 10:30 and was out by 12:15, soon as I walked in I was greeted and sat in a chair to get shampooed by Shay. Then Ms.Verna worked my hair using olaplex (that’s the good expensive stuff) and she was super friendly and sweet. They also offered wine and water, I’ve never had that a salon before. Overall, just a wonderful customer service, I’ll be back.

I had a great experience at the silk put bar after a stylist at another studio left me high and dry. My friend told me they were walk-in. As soon as I arrived at 10am on a Thursday, I was serviced. Verna was my stylist and she is just amazing. I did a protein treatment and trim. Mind you my natural hair is wild. I will now be going to Verna for routine hair maintenance and trimming.

I will not be returning! I had an appointment scheduled a week in advance and the appointment was for a level 2 silk press. Ive had a really busy schedule this past year and due to relocation I couldn’t see my normal stylist and decided to give these ladies a try. I was very excited for my appointment but wasn’t even greeted when I walked in. I was asked more than 3 times whether or not I had an appointment. After 45 minutes of waiting I was relocated to the wash bowl and waited another 15 minutes to get my hair washed and conditioned. My appointment was supposed to start at 10 but by 1pm no one had even started to style my hair. Not once was there an apology or any reassurance that they would be right with me. Since I had another commitment later that day I told them I could no longer wait to be serviced. ONLY THEN was I told that I was just about to get my hair blow dried . Unfortunately, I didn’t plan to be at the hair salon for 5 hours. I was charged $40 for a wash and what was said to be a protein treatment . I left with literal tears in my eyes because it felt like a scam and once again no apology. What was supposed to be a treat for myself ended up being such a waste of my time. 0/10

I LOVE THE SILKOUT BAR! If I could get my hair done everyday here, I would. They always wash with the best products that have your hair feeling so clean and your scalp feeling refreshed. Ches’a always does my ponytails and sew ins and they never disappoint. I always get the most compliments. Everyone that works here is so sweet and you feel at home as soon as you walk-in. I always love my appointments here because its a full beauty salon experience. ❤️
