I was a loyal, regular customer at Lipstick Salon. I got my nails done there once a week or sometimes every two weeks. I kept going back because the people were really nice. But I am not going there anymore. I called to set up an appointment and their phones were ringing off the hook, no answer. So I showed up. They were closed in the middle of the day when they were scheduled to be open and didn’t transfer calls to their cell phones. I waited in the freezing cold until they said they would be back, plus 30 minutes and they didn’t show up. It was just really irritating and unprofessional. I wouldn’t go to Lipstick if you are looking for prompt, professional service.

The best salon experience I’ve ever had. Lipstick is under new management and a whole new staff as of April 2012 and it definitely shows. Today I went in as a walk in for highlights and not only did they walk me step through step with color, they also talked to me about different kinds of highlights and really took the time to get to know me and decide which color/highlight choice worked best for me personally. On top of that I mentioned to my stylist, Emily Wright, (on separate occasions) how I had no idea how to tease my hair or contour my face. I was her last customer and instead of doing a half job she instead talked me through these things and gave me helpful hints and tips after finishing my hair. She is the nicest, most genuine, stylist who you can tell loves her job. Definitely recommended.

THIS BUSINESS IS UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP!!!! THE NEW OWNERS AND HER STAFF ARE F.A.N.T.A.S.T.I.C!! I took my daughter and a group of her friends there for a birthday party and the girls had a GREAT time. Amy and Calli did their toes and finger nails, we had the whole loft to ourselves to sing, have cake and dance around!! The girls all asked if we could go back again next year. I will be back again for my next cut and color with Amy in a few weeks. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS!!

Called them recently and asked if they would be open on a certain day. They said yes and told me that they would be open at 10:00 am. I asked if I needed to make an appointment, and they said – Nope, you can just walk-in. I show up at 10:30 am, and no one is there. I go to Panera to get something to eat for an hour – come out to find the store still is not open. Wait for a few more minutes outside, thinking that maybe there is staff inside, but there is no sign of anyone. I took my business elsewhere. If you are telling customers you will be open at a certain time, and you are still not open 2 hours later, I can not imagine you run a professional business.
