Jen is amazing! I had not had my hair colored in a while but she was up for the challenge. I tone my hair silver and it is really hard to find someone willing to do that color. The Salon on Middle is a hidden gem in downtown New Bern. It’s in a great location and has wonderful ambiance. The most wonderful hairstylist and cosmetologist works there and uses her natural talent to make people look and feel their best. I saw Cortney today and got my hair cut, colored, and styled- and my brows waxed. I went in knowing I was going to leave feeling so much better than I did going in. And I did! If you’re in search of a person who can take care of your hair care needs- please contact Cortney! You won’t be sorry.

Cortney is always willing to work with you on your scheduling or any hair needs. I know what I want when I come in and she always does exactly what I’m asking for. Her product knowledge is superb. I am always able to come in and relax in the salon as it has a homey feeling. It’s not a large over the top loud salon. Small town feels perfect for small town New Bern. Also for me being very tender headed Cortney is very gentle. The best shampoo I’ve ever had. Will continue to return to wherever Cortney is.

New favorite salon in our beautiful downtown!! The atmosphere it’s awesome! Welcoming, you just feel at home and like you’ve known every stylist your whole life. I found it more and more difficult to get an appointment at my usual salon. I was often shuffled around. The Salon on Middle, is very accommodating. I went to book online and couldn’t find an opening. I called and they were able to get me in. Fantastic! Cortney is nothing short of AMAZING! I feel like a brand new person! Thanks ladies for such a wonderful experience. I highly recommend!

Jennifer was amazing. She fit me in last minute when another stylist (dif salon) had to cancel. My hair was damaged and the the color was rough before and now it is shiny, healthy, and the color is gorgeous. The cut fits my face perfectly and gives my hair amazing volume. I love it. She was very sweet, personable and experienced. 10/10 recommend. ❤️

I cannot say enough about the Salon on Middle and my stylist Laura Lane. The space is cozy and peaceful and Laura is kind, knowledgeable, and doesn’t quit until you’re completely satisfied! I always leave the salon feeling amazing! I recommend her to everyone needing a stylist. If you are looking for a great salon experience you should definitely make an appointment.

Can not recommend this salon more!! They not only fit me into their busy schedule for my wedding that was less than a month away but offered a trial run as well! I had a simple half up & half down hair style and it held up ALL DAY! I was so impressed and made my wedding day a lot less stressful without worrying if my hair would hold! If I could rate more than 5 ⭐️‘s I would!! Go check them out for all your wedding updos! You will not be disappointed!!

I have used this salon (Cortney Henderson) for a little over a year now and could not be more pleased! I am one that does not like using different hairstylist, but had rather stick to one. I have never been dissatisfied in any service. I can just show a random picture of a hairstyle that I like and she is spot on! Cortney is very talented in her profession and also very accommodating with scheduling. So thankful I found her!
