I booked an appointment a month in advance for my daughter for her first and last prom of high school. Having never gone to a prom she was so excited about having her nails and hair done, and then getting pictures! Because we had not done anything before, I fear I waited too long to book, as all our own stylists were already booked! I picked this place because of recent reviews. However, at the very last minute the salon called (not the owners) and told us our appointment was canceled because the stylist got sick! I asked about a back up stylist and she said they were booked! My daughter was devastated when I told her! How does a salon this large not have a backup plan? So I asked to speak to the manager. An “owner” called many hours later. She told us that we had not ever been customers there before so why would we expect a back up stylist for our updo? And we had only made the appointment one month in advance! If you are anticipating having your hair done for important event, you had better be an existing customer. Very highly unrecommended! It is not like we were getting a hair cut that could have been postponed a week! And the “owner”? Super unprofessional! Will post pics of my daughter’s beautiful hair as soon as we can find another salon two days in advance of the prom! Two days!

They recently moved and their new space is so pretty!My appointment was with Tanya and she did an amazing job on my hair! I recently moved from Houston and was looking for a colorist who could mix a good golden blonde and not make it brassy or convince me to do a cooler tone. She did exactly what I wanted and spent time explaining the best way to style my fine hair. $140 for full highlights and to me that is a great price for a high quality salon at the domain. Tanya had great conversation and was seriously the sweetest. The other salon at the domain was quoting me $250+. I had Veronica for my hair appointment this past week. I wanted to do something different but subtle with my hair and she helped me achieve those dreams! She listened to me and gave me feedback and helped create a beautiful but subtle brown red! Something that I’ve been wanting for a while and she did an amazing job! I could tell she was super proud of her self and that made me even happier with my hair. If you go to The Salon book an appointment with Veronica! She’s also a master stylist!!

If I could give this place a higher rating I would, I booked an appointment at this salon a little over a month ago due to an event I had to attend ,as a bigger guy I normally hate going to hair salons due to the fear of being judged by my size or that I’ll break something, the moment I walked in, I felt very welcomed, the nice ladies at the desk were super polite, the informed me that my hair stylist would be with me in just a sec, ( I arrived early to my appointment and they were still able to take me in and they really nice about it ) my hair stylist was Veronica, oh my word I could not stop laughing for the few hours I was there , she was super polite, she was hilarious as well which made the time go by super quick,she would also check up on me every now and then to make sure the products she was putting in my hair weren’t damaging my hair or hurting my scalp, she was very professional. All the other stylists seemed very nice as well! This salon has a very comfortable,Homey feeling . I 100% recommend this place!

Tanya at The Salon at the Arboretum has literally changed my hair and life in the best possible way. I’ve gone through multiple salons/stylists over the years and never has someone understood what I wanted and then delivered in a way that went above and beyond my wildest expectations the way Tanya does. Tanya is my literal hair genie; she is absolute magic. I’ve seen her twice now and both times I literally couldn’t stop smiling with my new haircut and color, and it’s all thanks to her:)

If I could give negative stars, I would. Was charged a $70 no call no show fee after showing up 15 minutes late for my appointment. Only wanted a quick trim and the stylist would not do it. I wasn’t aware my card was on file, and definitely unaware of the policy of charging $70 after 15 minutes. No mention of the policy on the website or in any communications to me. Ridiculous to be charged for a no show when I did show up for my appointment. Will certainly never be returning here. Beware if you’re a current customer that they will not hesitate to charge your card and to new customers I’d advise to choose another salon with kinder employees!

After my beloved and long time stylist died, I began trying to find a new salon. I hit pay dirt on my 9th salon! The Salon at The Arboretum is excellent! The staff is friendly, the salon is well kept and clean and my stylist, Ali, is wonderful, attentive to my desires and great at explaining how I can best care for my newly curly hair. I like that I receive a text reminding me of my appointment, that when I sign in the front desk directs me to drape if I am getting color, that everyone is friendly but never intrusively so. I have had some dreadful experiences at more well known more expensive salons where the front staff seemed trained to believe that high end meant snobby. I have sat for a half hour only to be growled at because I wasn’t draped. I have Then I found The Salon, a place that provides quality cuts, color. products and a relaxing and quiet but fun experience. I highly recommend The Salon at The Arboretum! After 4 years, I have finally found a salon that offers it all.

Just wanted to add my recommendation of excellent service, start to finish with this salon. For reference, I’m a 42 yr old man who’s trying to embrace his curly hair, and historically just getting trims at the local Bird’s barbershop. After my last horrible Bird’s cut, I called and got a coveted spot with Kerry for the same day (don’t expect this to happen, it was a fluke)… after a recommendation from reddit for Men’s curly hair haircut. I went in a HOT MESS, and after a genuine listen to my particular set of issues and desires, Kerry gave a concise and professional recommendation, and got to work. I left feeling like a million bucks and a new found confidence about my hair. Everyone was so friendly and efficient. I’ve been checking out my hair in the mirror like a real dork ever since.
