I am new to Missouri, and was super nervous about trying somewhere new. I just have anxiety going to new places. I haven’t gotten my hair professionally done in almost 2 years. I was eager for a big change. Christi was the one to do my hair, and she went above and beyond. She was very quick with every step, and I just kept getting more and more excited throughout the process. The other gals who work there, are just as friendly. Christi was very easy to make conversation with, which was part of why I was nervous before coming. Taylor has a great sense of humor, and keeps things entertaining. I believe it was Peyton who was also working that night, and gave me multiple compliments saying that I’m pretty, and Christi had also been boosting my confidence the whole time. I was overjoyed with the result of my hair, and it made me feel so much better. It was such a great place, I didn’t even want to leave! This isn’t the best before and after picture, but you get the gist. 10/10 will def be back.

In town for an event, I made an appointment to have a shampoo, blow out and my hair curled. Sydney did an amazing job, and starting with an outdoor event in the afternoon until the festivities were done late into the night, my hair looked amazing!

Since they want to delete reviews that don’t show only the good I’m going to post this. My friend walked into the salon asking for an ashy tone balayage and was given brassy, thick, yellow ish highlights instead. She was forced to pay a 50 dollar security deposit (which doesn’t make sense) and was there for four hours. My friend went back the next day, kindly asked for it to be fixed and was treated rudely. The only money she was given back was the $50 dollar security deposit after speaking to the owner. Afterwards, the receptionist walked up to her with the owner on the phone, and the owner was extremely rude and said she was kicked out and was never allowed back. After leaving a review, it was deleted. The Room, do better.

Positive: Cleanliness, ProfessionalismI have used The Room and Christi for my personal color correction as well as the staff doing my daughter’s bridal party of 9. The staff were all so helpful and accommodating. The girls were thrilled with their hair and makeup and they met our timelines. Christi did a great job with a color correction and spent the time to make sure I understood what was realistic and her desire not to cause damage to my hair. I appreciate the honesty rather than trying to sell me on services I do not need. The staff is fun and professional every time I go in. The owner is very involved and visible and you can see her commitment to her staff. The girls were thrilled with their hair and makeup and they met our timelines. I have been going to the room. for about a year and a half now. I see Kanaan, the owner. I was very nervous to get my hair color treated as I have very curly, medium textured hair, but Kanaan has always done a fantastic job! She’s willing to go with whatever I throw at her and will even throw out suggestions. Additionally, my hair feels just as soft and healthy as it did before I started color treatments, even with bleaching my nearly-black hair. Would definitely recommend! Everyone there is friendly and kind; many of the stylists and other employees know me by name and greet me with a friendly hello every time I come in (and I have only been coming in every 10 weeks until now). I think that says a lot about who they all are!
