The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Fort Lauderdale

Critical: QualityI booked a much needed spa day but what I encountered was a giant insect (roach, palmetto bug—IDK) in the sauna. Another spa-goer and I called for assistance and the person that tried to save us unsuccessfully stepped on the board to squash the big which crawled under the board for safety from two scared women that can’t handle bugs where they shouldn’t be. The bug survived the squashing ceremony, so reinforcements where called in to spray the monstrous bug. What a way to end an otherwise wonderful experience…Oh wait, speaking of my experience, I booked a much needed spa day for 12/17—I reserved the Intuitive Ocean treatment and had Shinja as my therapist. She was wonderful and asked what pressure I preferred before she began. She explained thoroughly what she would be doing before getting started. The treatment was not long enough, in my opinion! Shinja made the experience extremely pleasant and I would go back if it weren’t for that damn roach in the sauna. I do believe I am scared for life . Unfortunately, that was not the experience I was expecting to receive from the Ritz, which is why I gave it the low rating. The pool bar does have some incredible views, though…not enough to erase the bug experience, but still worthy of stopping by to check it out… hopefully you’re not staying in the hotel overnight, though, because if there’s one bug, you know there’s gotta be more I booked a much needed spa day but what I encountered was a giant insect (roach, palmetto bug—IDK) in the sauna. I booked a much needed spa day but what I encountered was a giant insect (roach, palmetto bug—IDK) in the sauna. Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityMy dd gave me a gift card for mothers day and I scheduled the cleansing ceremony body treatment. My treatment was performed by Giovanni. The entire experience was relaxing and enjoyable. The spa facilities were modern, clean and aesthetically pleasing. My dd gave me a gift card for mothers day and I scheduled the cleansing ceremony body treatment. My treatment was performed by Giovanni. The entire experience was relaxing and enjoyable. The spa facilities were modern, clean and aesthetically pleasing. I certainly hope to go back and if I do, I would ask for Giovanni for sure.
