It’s hard to leave a negative review since I’ve had so many great appointments with the curly makeover. But yesterday I had my hair straightened and my hair was cut without my permission and without discussing this with me. About 3 inches was taken off. I initially said I wanted to get a trim during my “next” appointment but Cindy said she could see if I needed a trim after I was blow dried out. After my wash and blow dry I was lost in conversation and realized she was taking a significant amount of hair off. When I pointed this out I was told the cut hair was all split ends. That was not the case. I have been caring for my hair well and had consistent appointments with her and just had a big cut with her a few months ago. It was frizzy at the ends but my ends frizz up. And she made it seem like some peoples genetics just won’t let their hair retain length. My hair has been longer before so that is not true for me. The next day, my ends were frizzy because again that’s just what they do. Now I feel like I’m at square one and feel like the point of me having consistent appointments was to retain length. I ended up having to wash my hair because I did not want to straighten my hair again and it is now too short to put up. As I washed it I could tell it was cut into a style. Something I did not ask for. It was cut into layers. The top layer was significantly shorter and the front was cut into a blunt cut with the very front strands being longer. In the future I hope Cindy thoroughly discussed this with clients before cutting their hair. Unfortunately, I will not be back.

Cindy is an amazing stylist!! She’s friendly, timely and versatile! I’m always pleased when I leave the salon. Highly recommend!!
