I have curly/wavy hair and I’m always super nervous about getting it cut, but Curtis did an amazing job!! My hair was in a weird growing out phase from when I got a mullet about a year ago. He was able to make my hair look gorgeous while it’s growing out so I am no longer self conscious and not tucking it behind my ears everyday! I will def be going back to Curtis for my next hair cut:)

Walking in I was pretty excited, salon looked really nice. My hairstylist Rayna and I agreed on a Jen Aniston 90s haircut with some nice layers and face framing. I also mentioned that my hair was really thin and I wanted to do everything i could to keep my hair looking as full as possible since I’m very self conscious about it. Fast forward to after she cut and blew dry, she started cutting more and more off my thickness (or whatever was left of it. It almost felt like she had made a mistake and was trying to correct it. She proceeded to add a very large amount of texture spray into my hair and I can honestly say it looked good when I walked out. Once my hair actually took it’s natural shape, sans the pounds of texture spray, I actually look like I have a balding mullet. I have so many random chunks of hair that are short but no layers. Extremely disappointed. Worst haircut of my life. Giving 2 starts because the salon was nice and Rayna was a really nice person but the haircut gets a 0.

I have curly, fine hair which is not easy to deal with. She really listened to me and gave me the best version of what I asked for. She was also such a pleasure to talk to throughout. At the end, she styled my hair in a few different ways to make sure that everything was laying correctly regardless of the styling. Couldn’t recommend this place more! Super comfortable vibe and great ambience in the room, and the people are lovely. Danielle my stylist gave me an awesome hair wash, cut, and style. I’m a guy with shortish hair so I don’t have huge requirements, but it has to be done right, and she absolutely did it so. She was a pleasure to be around and I felt comfortable in her chair the whole time. The salon was busy but not overcrowded and it’s in a nice central location too. I’ll be going back many times!

Finally, I have found my salon mecca in LA! I can’t believe it took me so long to find Joel. He has done absolute wonders to my hair. His cuts are always spot on and just what I ask for. He’s convinced me to take some risks with my hair color that I wouldn’t normally take, and I’m happy that I trusted him to be the expert! After all, he is the professional – not me.
