I got a foot reflexology massage from Loretta. It was the most relaxing and calming experience I’ve had in a long time. She applies just the right pressure and checks in to adjust as needed. She also does some neck and shoulder work at the end. It couldn’t have been a better experience. Beyond the massage you can shower and use the steam room, then hang out on their relaxation area beds before you call it a day. They offer water bottles and packaged seeds and nuts, tea, cucumber water, and have lots of toiletries including combs, tooth brushes, etc I was blown away. I have never been to a spa before and this is only my second massage, but I was very very happy with everything.

I wish I could give a better review but 60 minutes into my 90 minute massage I was told she couldn’t increase pressure as she was “tapped out”. This was after going “light” up until then. Music also stopped 60 minutes in and wasn’t turned back on. My appointment was at 6:45pm on a Friday so perhaps she was tapped out for the day. Disappointed considering I expected more for a $300+ massage.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Let me just say you can take a bath and watch TV in these hotel rooms, and there are three exceptional restaurants within the hotel itself. The spa is phenomenal and incredibly relaxing. You cannot beat the views from the hotel pool area, or from the rooftop bar. There are so many little details that are overlooked at most hotels. Do not expect that to be the case when you stay here. I even enjoyed speaking with the room service attendant Debra who told me she had been working at the peninsula hotel in Chicago for the past 20 years, and was one of the original staff members. Even just over the phone I could tell how much pride she took in working at such an establishment, and I can’t blame her. It’s like nothing I’ve ever experienced before in my life. The beds are unmatched as far as comfort and that includes the pillows and the comforters. The rooms are spacious and clean and the design is aesthetically pleasing. The closets were a dream come true, and even though it was just for a few days I truly enjoyed every moment I had in the designated dressing area. My new life goal is to stay at all nine of the peninsula hotels. If you have the opportunity to stay here do yourself a favor and don’t miss it. Lastly, they have a perfumery shop! There is pictures of movie stars from 30s 40s 50s and you can even choose to wear the very same sent that Audrey Hepburn wore when she accepted her Oscar.

Excellent massage by Beth – would absolutely book her again – cannot rate her highly enough. Very, very ordinary facial by Tina – will never book again; generic; waste of money; chews gum throughout; cold and uncaring. Spa is nice and small, just lacks some of the usual touches like being able to order champagne etc to enhance your experience. Friendly and professional front of house staff.

Visited 2/17/22 for a de-stress massage and healthy glow facial. The massage was wonderful but the facial was a cold treatment – no heat/steam used at all. It was a different experience and I wouldn’t recommend as I prefer heat/steam facials.

*Update: Thank you to Susie, Spa Director, for reaching out and addressing my feedback. I’ve been back since the last visit and the experience was more consistent with my very first visit, which was also a positive experience. Looking forward to returning. The staff was friendly, attentive, professional, and the facilities are nicer than most of the other hotel spas in the area.

Booked a massage for Friday as I received a gift of a 60 minute massage! Very excited as I wanted to relax by the pool for a little bit during these stressful times. Unfortunately, the steam room is not accessible due to COVID and unless you book 2 hours of spa service (1 hour massage was already 258 dollars) you aren’t allowed to go on the terrace or use pool. I can’t return the gift card, sadly, and preferred the gift here so I could use the amenities but I am unable to use them. Next time check ahead to make sure you are allowed to use the facilities– the Four Seasons allows use of the entire spa facility with any purchase.
