I do not even know where to begin about the amazing experience I had today at this boutique located in the heart of Montclair, NJ. This amazing little gem offers the most calming, soothing, and healing experience anyone could ever ask for. As soon as you walk through the door, you immediately are transformed into a haven of healing. Greeted graciously by the experience guide Alexa, and Madison, the studio manager. These ladies make you feel so comfortable, and welcomed. As I awaited my appointment, I was given a refreshing glass of cucumber lemon water, and was given an abundance of knowledge of the services, and their health benefits from both ladies. It is wonderful to go to an establishment where the front desk staff, and manager, are so knowledgeable, kind, and friendly. Such a beautiful and welcoming environment. I was then greeted by my massage therapist Olivia, who immediately made me feel at home. Olivia is truly a master of her craft. She was phenomenal!! Her touch, her calming voice, and demeanor was unbelievable. I have been in pain daily, for over two years, resulting from an auto accident, and I can honestly say that Olivia worked wonders on my body….and my mind. I feel amazing!! I have a very hard time relaxing, but for 50 minutes, it was just me, Olivia’s healing hands, and the sound of soothing crashing waves. The whole vibe of the studio is absolutely perfection. The whole staff, decor, and services are beyond what one could ask for. Whether you want a massage every now and then, or prefer to become a ritual member, you have to get yourself here! If you are looking to transport yourself to Heaven for a little while, definitely make your way to The NOW Montclair. Believe me, you will ask yourself where has this place been my whole life! I am so very thankful to my husband Michael for gifting me a membership to this amazing establishment, so I can continue to reap the healing, and relaxing benefits of massage every month!!☺️

My husband and I had massages here. I had a scalp massage add on and the heating pad. I think the heating pad was a bit too warm for me, but overall the experience was great. I could have told the therapist to turn the heat down a little, so I take responsibility for that . I loved the waves crashing in the background and I like canvas sectionals/open air layout. I would definitely come back if we lived closer.

The ambience and decor is nice, along with the relaxing music/sounds. It makes you feel like you’re in Tulum. While the rooms are dimly lit they aren’t actual “rooms” – they have “tent-like” material as walls which are a bit translucent. You can’t see the person in the space next to you completely, but it can be a bit uncomfortable trusting that you can’t see them or they can’t see you depending on how close you are to the sides of the space dividers. More importantly, the two massage therapists my wife and I had, seemed very inexperienced. I’m not even sure if they were licensed massage therapists. One rushed through the whole session and didn’t even ask if there were parts to avoid, if there were any prior injuries, etc. The therapist I had was very sweet but also seemed inexperienced. She was afraid to use any pressure at all. I told her to use stronger pressure but didn’t. She also barely focused on the areas I asked her to focus on. While the prices are reasonable and their membership options are reasonable, nobody is going to pay for a massage membership that isn’t massage “therapy” or therapeutic. They only do “relaxing” massages. I’m guessing that’s because they’re not “licensed” massage therapists. When someone isn’t licensed you run the risk of them actually “hurting” or injuring you. Nobody wants to pay $100+ dollars for someone to lightly touch your back with their hands and forearms. Won’t be going back unless I want to “relax” and leave my expectations at the door.

First time going to The Now. The employees were helpful and very friendly. The building was warm, relaxing, and very clean. The layout of the room where the massage was given was perfect and relaxing. The massage was very relaxing and professional. I would recommend coming to the now especially if you need to just relax and relieve stress. I will be coming back!!!!
