Kim was very friendly and amazing. This was my first time here and I am also from out of town. Kim sat me as soon as I arrived and got to work giving my old acrylics a total makeover. She checked with me at every step to make sure I was happy and explained everything she was doing. I’ve never felt so welcome and taken care of at a salon before. I would absolutely recommend stopping in for you nails if you’re in La Jolla!

I went to The Nail Shop after getting my nails destroyed by another nail salon, hoping that they could do a better job. I was absolutely delighted when Kim did a perfect job fixing my nails and making them exactly how I wanted. The staff were so nice and friendly. I went only for a simple manicure and pedicure plus callus removal. They kept adding more and more services and every time I told them I only want a pedicure and manicure plus callus — nothing more. How did I just leave having to pay 115$. Insane price. And on top of that they did a poor job on my nails, they’re were fast and way too eager for my liking. Do not recommend.

First of all I was passing by decidedly dropped in for a nail take off I did not request a manicure and was charged 35 for the nail take off and buff. I had asked pricing prior to starting but was ignored. I also decided to have my daughter worked on while there to help support small business however this was a disappointment. No polish was applied on nails are uneven and was charged as though I was given exclusive care. No I was not. Michelle was nice but not transparent and took advantage of my kindness. I had to withdraw twice out the ATM due to gross amount I was charged. Coming from o.c. I am use to this but at least provide a nice manicure not even a clear coat was applied.

I have been coming to this place regularly for about 3 months now and it’s certainly become my comfort/refuge. I LOVE how immaculately clean the service was and how chic the space is. It was quiet and bright and peaceful in there.
