I have a crazy schedule so I am not able to always plan ahead for a manicure / pedicure. I use Polished Nail Spa because of the technician Chris He is unbelievable. I remember him telling me he also worked at The Nail Shop in Pennington during the week. My schedule allowed me to go on Wednesday and Chris was at The Nail Shop that day so I made an appointment. I didn’t realize it’s next to the Stop and Shop in Pennington where I shop also. I arrived and was immediately greeted with enthusiasm. Chris came from the back with his usual kindness and generosity of spirit. He sat me down and I told him I scheduled the Vegan Spa Pedicure 6 step. He was already ready for it. As I looked around at the spa it was so nice and so clean. Everything is organized and sanitized. I loved the pedicure chairs they use. I felt like it was very much a spa atmosphere in the shop. As usual Chris did an exceptional job. He really is amazing and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great technician. You won’t be disappointed in his skills. I am glad to know that I have two options to go to for my nails and feet. The great part of the options is that Chris works at both places that I have now reviewed. Thank you again Chris for an incredible session. I want to say that everyone in the salon was pleasant and extremely nice.

Critical: Quality, ValueI received a full Acrylic set on 10/8 and as of 10/15 SIX nails have popped off and the natural nail underneath looks as if it was never even attached. I do not do strenuous work with my hands. It seems like the “acrylic nail” was a mostly glued tip. I have never spent so much on an acrylic set with a basic design and have also never had any nails (let alone 6) pop off in less than a week. I received a full Acrylic set on 10/8 and as of 10/15 SIX nails have popped off and the natural nail underneath looks as if it was never even attached. I do not do strenuous work with my hands. It seems like the “acrylic nail” was a mostly glued tip. I have never spent so much on an acrylic set with a basic design and have also never had any nails (let alone 6) pop off in less than a week. Critical: ProfessionalismI had to change my review from 5 stars due to a very poor pedicure I got today. I left in tears. It is not fair to the people who know how to do their job there and to the owners, because the place is clean and very nice overall, but the owner needs to address it with the staff and I hope they see this review and course correct. The application of color was so uneven, I am embarrassed to walk like this on vacation. My 4 year old applies nail polish better. The polish is lighter, and I thought it was color, but no, it is a technique – rushed, not even, no base coat, no additional coat to make sure the color is even. It looked so bad I could not wait to get home and to take it off. All of us work hard, and when you pay for service, always tip well, this is not acceptable (picture is attached). I was offered color change, because I was visibly upset, but I had no time, unfortunately, as I needed to pick up my child. I wanted a shop closer to my house. I went for my first appointment and bought the membership. I got the nail dip powder. It usually last me 3 to 4 weeks. I’ve been having done over 8 years. 3 broke and chipped after a few days. I called to make a sooner appt. When I got there there was no appt scheduled after I called and confirmed that day. Went back next day. I had to tell the technician to redo a nail 3 times. The technician was not happy with this.. if i did my work like she did,, id be fired.. My toes are chipping the next day. My pedicure looks like a child did and my nails are sloppy. This place should not have a membership as the work is short. I’ve spent extra for the membership. The only thing they have going is it s spotless and extremely clean. Don t know if it s worth arguing for my membership money back or not. With so many nail places out there, don t choose this one.

The service is good and the place is clean. Pricing, though, is inconsistent. I booked a treatment ahead of time and the booking, with price, was sent to my email. I was charged $10 more than that at checkout and when I pointed out and showed my email they said those prices are from a long time ago. Misleading and frustrating to be charged that much more with no notice.

This is the Worst Nail salon I hve ever been at, rude staff, made a appointment, they said I never did. Had a Pedicare previous and it was not up to par, using the same nail equipment on everyone. Critical: QualityI am very disappointed with the service I received at The Nail Shop. My first visit was on 11/5 for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. After 2 days some of the polish began to chip. I returned on 11/9 and a technician removed the polish from the nails that were chipped and reapplied it; there were about 5 nails total. After about a week polish on 3 nails had chipped half way. On 11/19 I made an appointment to have the polish removed. When I came in on 11/20 the polish was removed, I had nothing reapplied. I tipped the technician and on my way out the staff person in charge was trying to charge me $20 for the polish removal. When I told her why I wasn’t going to pay she turned her back on me, put up her hand and walked away. Seriously, where is the professionalism?! They should have been refunding me the nearly $75 I paid for service/tips over the course of 3 visits for poor quality. After reading other reviews I saw that the issue with the gel manicures was common. I am very disappointed with the service I received at The Nail Shop. My first visit was on 11/5 for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. After 2 days some of the polish began to chip.
