My experience here was great I was nervous at first because it’s hard to find good nail shops wirh great customer service in D.C. However The Nail Bar D.C set the bar for me I’ll be going back Vivian took care of my nails with care she’s so nice and takes her time. Highly recommend!!

I must say they did a great job explaining excellent service but for the price my nails should not be chipping off after a day or two. I got dipped nails maybe I should’ve gotten gel but I never usually have this problem with gel or dipped. NAIL BAR MAYBE YOU SHOULD TRY A THICKER LAYER ON YOUR CUSTOMERS DIPPED NAILS THAT MAY HELP. ✌ ❤️

Critical: Quality, ValueWhen I came everything looked nice and clean, and I felt pretty excited about the service I was going to get. However, when the lady was doing my nails it was bubbling up and she kept painting over it. It hasn’t even been a week and my gel has started peeling. I used this place in hopes of finding someone who could do a good job since I had just moved here from college. I am pretty disappointed especially since this is the second business who has been pretty costly but has not delivered at all. I would not recommend for anyone to go here unless they wanted to waste their money for fun.Service: Gel manicuresWhen I came everything looked nice and clean, and I felt pretty excited about the service I was going to get. Do not waste your money here! Went in for a $38 pedicure, left out with a $58 bill and one of the worst pedicures I’ve had in years. For this price the job was rushed and the polish was sloppy and poorly applied. This was a one and done for me. I ventured here since it’s in the neighborhood. Just an FYI Nail Works salon on Rhode Island ave, has better prices and waaaaay more professional look. Should have stuck with what I knew. Hopefully this helps you not to make the same mistake.

I tried this spot because it was open later than my preferred place. I called ahead to confirm that walk-ins were accepted. I didn’t have to wait at all. Service was good. Didn’t see any prices posted Was charged $95 for a gel manicure and pedicure. Chipped the same day. If not for those 2 strikes, I probably would’ve given 4 stars. The facility is brand new and very nice.

I called to get the price of a service beforehand and they charged me $5 extra once I got the service. I also went here to get a pedicure and I wasn’t satisfied. I left with my feet still feeling hard and dead skin on my heels. Will not be returning to this business

Critical: ProfessionalismDO NOT GET YOUR EYEBROWS DONE HERE!! Or probably any other service for that matter. I usually never write reviews. BUT I have been getting my eyebrows waxed since the 5th grade AND NEVER have I had such a horrible experience at ANY nail salon, no allergic reactions nothing. The “technician” burned my eyelids. Many things were wrong, wax too hot etc but she also ripped the strips away without any technique to lessen the pain ok fine but then she proceeded to wipe wax from my face with THE ROUGHEST PAPER TOWEL when she should have been using cotton balls! After waking up this morning with swollen, burned, red eyelids…I went back today to get a refund and asked them what they could do to make it right I was given a $15 gift certificate. (not even enough for a manicure by the way because I am definitely not coming back any waxing for sure!). The customer service was ridiculously poor. I decided to try this place since I was near by Whole Foods but no, what a mistake! PS IT COST $15 for an eyebrow wax.DO NOT GET YOUR EYEBROWS DONE HERE!! I’m quite disappointed in my experience at The Nail Bar DC. They were very rough removing my gel nails to the point that I had to ask them to stop because it hurt. They did the entire thing by grinding away the polish rather than both using acetone and grinding it away like most places do. It was also very rushed overall and my manicurist cut my cuticles trying to go way too fast. Ultimately, my gel nails, which typically last close to a month, didn’t even make it two weeks.

Absolutely horrible experience. The nails were all different shapes I had to ask for them to be shaped uniformly. French manicure was crooked. They just don’t pay attention to detail and rush through the services. I wanted to find a nail salon in my neighborhood. This one is in a great location, great assortment of colors, and is clean. They need better nail techs and it would be the perfect salon.
