Critical: QualityI’m not one to go to salons to have my nails done. I do them myself and have been for years. I only venture into a salon once in a blue moon. I decided to go for a mani pedi a week ago on Tuesday simply to get out of the house for a bit and saw this place had pretty great reviews. Catherine, the owner, performed a regular pedi and gel mani on me. She was super sweet, stellar customer service, and the place was clean with a ton of nail colors to choose from. I was happy with the service all around… but I’m sad to admit that within 2 days I had a nail chipping… and then 3 days later noticed the nail polish color changing. Literally the oddest thing I’ve ever seen. Now exactly a week later I have chipped and completely discolored nails. I’ve had gel manis that last 2 weeks. I decided to go for a mani pedi a week ago on Tuesday simply to get out of the house for a bit and saw this place had pretty great reviews. Catherine, the owner, performed a regular pedi and gel mani on me. She was super sweet, stellar customer service, and the place was clean with a ton of nail colors to choose from. At the station I got my gel manicure done there were 2 nails and residue on the light that dries your nails-clearly not cleaned and I was the first person at the station that day. They also have a sink with a huge hole missing half of the ceramic. It was absolutely freezing which made it impossible to enjoy my services. Everyone there kept their jackets and hats on during their service (even one of the employees). While getting a pedicure I also heard critters running around in the ceiling. I got a spa pedicure which was fine, but for the extra $25 there wasn’t anything extra they did except for wrap some plastic wrap around my legs. Anywhere else this would have been a normal pedicure and I would have saved $20. I was going to overlook the whole experience, but the quality of the manicure was truly disappointing and a waste of almost 2 hours. At the station I got my gel manicure done there were 2 nails and residue on the light that dries your nails-clearly not cleaned and I was the first person at the station that day.
